Great episode, as a trans man I've actually heard many trans guys say testosterone increasing aggression is actually kind of a myth, apparently Scotty has found that to be probably true. Good ol T gets too much of a bad rap.

Recent science has shown the gender job assignment roles were blurred often. Imagine some dikes as warriors and ferries as berry pickers. It even existed back then. You fit the role your body fit best and your gender came second.

Not to be pedantic but I think the slur is spelled with a Y. A dike is a retaining wall to keep the ocean out. I don't think one of those would be very good at warfare. Edit: upon noticing how you chose to spell fairies I realize this was intentional.

My first job was at a zoo, we used to hear the gibbons all the way from where we were working and called these two particular gibbons "Shaggy 2 Dope" and "Violent J" because they would just go "WOOP WOOP" all day

Fitness is a hobby of mine. When I worked in the Home Depot garden center during the summer, it was common that older women would grope my shoulders as they would talk to me. The customer culture tends to be more conservative so the aggressive aspect definitely came into play there.
