Man I would love to see this series come back.

Lots of Logo Filler in this edit 😬

David

True. There's a program out there (free) called Plane9. It has tons of animations which react to sound, including speech. Would be perfect as background for those logo shots, as Paul talks, so that something is always moving on screen, to keep it visually interesting.

I am so fucking glad that Cinema for Cynics is back. I mostly watch movie channels on YT and I quite enjoy Paul's takes on movies

Radagast is cooler than Gandalf, imo. I bet Radagast makes amazing S'mores.

We need Scotty to fulfill the prophecy and go down Steelmanville Road!

Eric Vogt

You can leave Steelmanville Road, but Steelmanville Road will never leave you. (Translation: We're not gonna let this go.)

Something I questioned after reading the books: Could Gandalf even use magic?

Edvard Lundgren

Magic isn't really a thing in Arda, not like the characters in the books imagine it anyway. It's not about spells or mana or stuff like that. People using 'magic' in LOTR are carrying out the will of Eru Iluvatar in accordance to his Divine Symphony as it played out before time and space existed. The discordant Melchor and, later on, his most loyal servant Sauron weild tremendous power, but that is not really magic as we normally think of it - it's more like destiny being fulfilled in ways that mainly was set during the different movements of the Symphony; specifically them being disturbed by Melchor being the first edgelord and playing the electric guitar/drums too loudly. It really is all rather interesting, you should try and give the Silmarillion a read. It's rather heavy, so I'd read it while having some internet tabs open, maybe some videos explaining the stuff. But when you get into it, it's quite well thought-out.

Edvard Lundgren

Steelmanvill rd... steelmanville rd... When do we want it? Now! Who do we want it with? Scooter and the Hog!

Anthony

Paul this video was fucking fantastic. I’ve been needing me some nerd feed in this headache nightmare state the world is currently in. Well, has BEEN in rather

Chipz

Wouldn’t be that great of a story if all the decisions were flawless. You need conflict.
