A Meeting With Ruby - WIP Screenshots! (Patreon)

Here's what I've been up to so far in regards to my upcoming animation. Unlike my previous animation, Girl Treats, which was essentially made of the Blender equivalent of duct tape and a prayer, I am trying out a much more robust approach to A Meeting With Ruby. Both characters will essentially be traced from 3D reference models I have made, with some 2D stylization and artistic license applied after the fact, and the set will be fully 3D as well. It's basically the same method used by the creator of A Fox In Space, sans motion capture (I can't afford a full mocap setup quite yet, lol) and it will hopefully allow me to animate much faster than before. :3

The main screenshot is a mock-up of what the finished result will look like, more or less. Since the reference models are fully part of the scene, they will not only provide very handy perspective reference, but lighting reference as well. Everything should hopefully look more consistent and fluid overall!

Now that I'm done with the final dialogue+music mix, as per my last post, I should hopefully have some work-in-progress animation done as well. Stay tuned!
