Like what you mentioned at yhe beginning Javi, I sincerely don't understand those people complaining about Mhok or Day's attitude in episode 1... I mean, have they heard of the term "character growth"?

Renato Alves

I'm watching the series through your reactions and I can't even describe how much I cried in this episode. The metaphor with the aquarium at the end, like? Hello?? This ep was beautiful, sad but at the same time full of hope? I can't wait for the next one.

Makoto

I think I'm gonna cry the entire 12 episodes 🥲

lia

I honestly was not expecting to cry so much during this episode but man, this show is really something else. The cinematography, the writing, the music, the acting. It's not often that I fall in love with a show after the first episode but that just's the case for this one. This show is perfection. Can't wait for next Friday.

Katja S.

Javi, in the scene where Night was surprised to see Day downstairs. They said that Day locked himself up in his room since he tripped and bumped into things, so he never came down since then. So that' s why Night was so surprised. This series is something special. I can tell that it is one of my favourites this year. The metaphor with the fish and Mhok trying to understand Day although he was fired. I know i will cry again the next episodes.

Cynthia Jehl

You were right, the emotional punch in this episode is even more impactful... I have no words, I was nearly crying from the moment Day tripped after Night came back with his friends... That entire sequence of the episode was just, wow, I have no words. The other scene that really got me whas when Mhok told Day about how he tried to understand better by going to the market blindfolded. Mhok is already so caring and mindful of doing things right by Day. Noticing little things like Day not liking the smell of cigarets so he removed his shirt to not bother him. With his sight dimmed, Day's sense of smell must be a little heightened so he may perceive bad smell more and will be more bothered by it so it was really considerate of Mhok to remove his smelly shirt before going back into Day's room, which was described as Day's safe space at the moment. And yes, we all appreciated the eyefull of Dr Jimmy ;) and Day touching again, oh boy, the gay panic, I felt it!!! I just love them so much already and I know they're going to wreck me.... Loved how you replayed Day and his friend's greeting XD That was such a wholesome and funny moment. I 100% believe the slippers are going to be merch :D I can't wait for episode 3 and your reaction afterwards :D

Onley James

Oh. This one got me. I was a mess. I'm so impressed with how well they doing. Its all so good.

Melanin Queen

This was another great episode, Mhok and Day is getting closer, I cried when Mhok gifted Day those fish slippers and when Mhok was eating blindfolded so he could try understanding what Day is going through 😊

Marissa Vela

No but like…is the fart shirt going to be much too? 😆

This series has me so stressed. I'm so convinced there'll be the obligatory angst that I pause every 5 mins to collect myself and brace, but this episode was sweet through. Aon is the unsung hero this ep, playing cupid, counselling both boys and provoking Mhok to feel he has to stay on. In the end, it's the attatchment Day feels and Mhok's sweetness and genuineness that wins the day, but I still appreciate our resident cupid who must have been quietly worrying before Mhok came. I'm still convinced angst will come, and am bracing myself like a frightened hamster, but if it all ends in pure sweetness with the aches and agonies of life's less dramatic but no less painful tribulations, tempered with the grace of love and companionship, I won't complain. I was most moved by the revelations of what sightless people fear most: not knowing the expressions others are making towards them. I never thought it'd be that. Mhok's reckless "nosiness" was so swoon-worthily employed here. Also loved how, in retrospect, him fixing the chair in Ep 1 was not just a threat, but out of his itch to help others fix things. I also loved that I didn't anticipate the untamed fox to refer to Day and not the rougher Mhok. Maybe the motif would be flipped later on, but for now, that makes Mhok the lonely prince. Along with my phobia of drama around the corner, I feel everyone assumes Mhok is a privileged sighted ruffian who doesn't care enough to dress decently and speak in a genteel manner, but Mhok hasn't spoken a word about his trauma and the prejudice he faces, and I feel like that's a shoe waiting to drop, to more tears. Them watching 4BIA and Phobia2 and then having Day have his phobia come true makes me smile a little but also wonder what else will be set up for Mhok's revelations and the facing of his fears. I am so worried about Mhok eventually thinking about sacrificing himself to help Day, with wild ideas that maybe Mhok's sister did what she did to not burden him with her debts or something, or maybe she was sick and she didn't want to burden him with medical bills to pay. I dunno. I just fear he'll get it into his head to sacrifice himself for Day and some circumstance like a sickness or an accident or something else makes such a sacrifice a viable option. I'm just driving myself crazy. I've been looping your TOATS reactions to calm myself down. I love your reactions. I much prefer your saner prediction that it'll be a love story of Mhok helping Day come to terms with life fading into sightlessness but being able to see the most beautiful things you can only see with your heart. Like Tian said, when you spend your life helping people, good things will come to you, and Mhok looks the type to deserve a good ending. This show better not break my heart.

Madelyn & Kaitlyn

I felt what you said at the end, this show hits harder each time you watch it. I definitely teared up while watching though, and am going to suffer until next friday -Kaitlyn

Angie

Oof I need a break - suicide mention/visual warning briefly towards the end. Hope that's not too spoilery but just in case anyone else is watching the show for the first time with Javi

Keem🥰

I am currently watching vice versa for the first time and I just love them in that series so far and in this series! This show has really surprised me, I was looking forward to it and so far it is meeting/exceeding expectations I hope it continues to do so.

Debbie

Was that 55,000 Baht a month? If it’s a month, that’s not much.

Emily Alyce

I'm obsessed. This might be my favorite show of this year already.

Yeah but Night could have still checked, especially with Mhok being there now. But yes, I can’t wait for more. I love it so much already! 🥰

Jasmine

Besides the fan service (which I very much appreciate) it’s so Mhok to just take off his shirt as a solution to him smelling like cigarettes 😂 Day and Mhok enjoying the movie together was such a nice moment that it made what happened after even more heartbreaking. That fish tank scene? Day sneaking a peek but Mhok also looking 🤭

We’ll get through it together. 🥹 I’m excited to see how much of an emotional rollercoaster it’s going to be.

Not to us, but definitely for Mhok and his situation and a good chunk in terms of the cost of living in Thailand.

wiruj somsopon

This ep is better than the first one (which is really good), and your reaction make me cry more than i watched alone. 🥹 i can tell you that this series will be my top 5 of this year (and maybe top 10 for BL series all times) 😍 Love your reaction as always!!

For the asian country like thai, malaysia, indonesia, philipine etc 55,000 bath is such a higher than basic salary.. literary 5 times more than basic salary..

Jessi Lovely
>>122467492

That’s a lot for me and I live in Northern Ireland. 55,000 baht is about £1,200 which barely covers cheap rent and groceries and that’s in the uk. When I was in Thailand I got pickpocketed and still managed to live on under $95 for my remaining 2 weeks there so Mohk got himself a rich boi job 😆

Jessi Lovely

Javi, love the outro song! I also feel more emotional watching it the second time noticing new things and seeing my feelings on it validated through someone else. Even though I worry about his health, I hope M doesn’t quit smoking for a while because I want him to smell like ciggie smoke for a wee bit longer 👀 🙊 Jimmy’s been doing some chest flies for sure 🏋🏽 ❤️ jeans 👖 no shirt, we stan 😂 👌🏽

Makoto

It might not be that much for American or some strong money countries because of the difference in currency, in Thailand that's a lot. With 55000 bath (around 1500 usd) you can live a pretty decent life there.

Debbie
>>122467492

Oh I agree it’s a decent amount. And that people can live a pretty good life there with 55,000 baht. I don’t know that it is quite the “wow” that’s depicted for Bangkok but maybe it is. It was better before foreigners have driven the prices up too

Kate Terekhova

This is the song from the trailer. Hopefully, we will get it after episode 5 or 6 is released
