Maggie's fattening Story (Remake) #1 (Patreon)

I know I announced this ages ago, and then... somehow nothing ever came of it.

As some of you already know, I decided to completely remake the entire Maggie story. Partly because there are certain scenes that I’m just not happy with anymore when I look back on them, and partly because I honestly can't stand looking at the really old pages these days. My art style has changed quite a bit over the years and, thankfully, improved a lot as well.And honestly? Before some idiot gets the idea to remake my baby with AI, I'd much rather do it myself.! IMPORTANT NOTE:This remake is my way of saying thank you to the people who support my work and make it possible for me to dedicate so much time and effort to creating comics like this. Because of that, this remake is exclusive to my Patreon supporters and DeviantArt subscribers. I actually started working on the first page quite a while ago, but I was never really happy with how it turned out. For one thing, I didn't like Maggie's face. It just didn't match my current art style. On top of that, the way I had drawn it turned out to be incredibly time-consuming, and I knew there was no way I'd ever finish the whole comic like that. It was simply too much work.

So I kept tweaking page one and two over and over until I finally found a style that feels much more natural to me and that I think I can realistically stick with for the entire project. It's still very much my cartoony style, but I think the facial expressions and poses are much stronger now, and the shading is a lot more refined.

Over the past few days I actually got into a really good groove and managed to redraw several of the opening pages of Maggie.So, what can you expect - aside from the updated art style?

As far as the overall story goes, nothing is going to change, so don't expect any major plot twists. However, if I feel that a particular scene would work better if it were presented differently, I may rewrite or adjust it a bit. That said, the core story itself will remain exactly the same. So at their core, the pages will stay the same - they're simply being redrawn by someone with more than 30 years of comic-making experience under their belt.And maybe - just maybe - I might add an extra page here and there if I come up with a scene that I simply forgot to include back then. But we'll see how things develop as I go.

I might also remove or add a few panels here and there whenever I think it improves the pacing or helps a scene work better.

And today I'd like to show you the first two of them. As I mentioned, page one was still a bit experimental, but by page two I had finally settled on the style I wanted. I really hope you like the new look that my magnum opus will have going forward.I'll also be telling you a little about what I changed on each page and why.

For page 1, I deliberately stayed very close to the original because I felt that would make the new art style stand out even more. As a result, almost every panel is a near one-to-one recreation of the original.

The only real addition is a small extra panel in the bottom left. I simply felt Maggie's adorable little beginner belly deserved its own moment in the spotlight.----------Commissions are open!
