I wonder if the writers have giant X's over the main characters... you know, a la Luke Skywalker. The new generation of writers, directors, etc need a good talking to from the old Star Trek cast ;)

My biggest issue with this season is that they mashed together episodes that didn't mesh well at all, moved around episodes that had to be in specific places and cut episodes that were the most important to the story and characters. How do you get rid of The Guru but and in The Painted Lady, one of if not the worst episode in the series. They did do some good this season tho. I loved the idea of giving Iroh PTSD about going back to Ba Sing Se and having to deal with his mistakes. Teaching Aang how to heal isn't the best change but it does at least seed energy bending. The absolute worst part for me was what they did to The Library, Wang Shi Tang looked great but everything else... oh boy. For a story that was already told the best way possible once this isn't the worst it could be but it came damn close.

I enjoyed it for what it was, and it was definitely a step up from Season 1 (which I also liked more than most) but I also can't deny anything you're saying in this video isn't all accurate. Maybe had Netflix not been so gung-ho with their idiotic "writing for second-screen viewers" thing it would have been better. And like you said, with season 3 shot at the same time, odds are that'll be of the same quality. *Sigh* At least the upcoming fighting game will be good, but MAN this franchise really cannot catch a break.

Geoff, that 1st season kinda wasnt even their idea. it was inspired by tales of the Montauk Project. But s2 onward is absolutely all theirs. i recommend checking out Bedtime Stories or The Lore Lodge's video on on the Montauk Project, its some crazy stuff

I know rendering 2 different videos, one without the ads can be complicated cause know you have 2 workflows and issues can grow, so I don't really mind it that much tbh, your ads are usually not the type of ads I see from other videos so there's some novelty about them lol.

I wouldn't want that--they aren't all bangers, but i would be so sad to miss a particularly good ad read! That but with Ishigami asking "don't we live in japan" during a Boxu ad lives rent free in my head

We get some really interesting character development here. Geoff in Season 1 couldn't believe someone could argue that M Night's was better because at least it was shorter, but Season 2 Geoff has to pause and consider both sides. By Season 3 I expect him to hold M Night's version head and shoulders above NATLA.
