God I had a lot to talk about in this lmao hope you all enjoy my various ramblings as we wrap up my first GL.

|| WATCH HERE ||

Also, there's been a tiny change in plan. Originally the plan was to do this, Blank and then The Loyal Pin but I've decided to do Affair after Blank instead. TLP & TSOU will be the following two almost certainly but given that 1. I've been hearing amazing things about Affair and 2. It's in the same universe as Gap & Blank, it just makes more sense to me. Hope that's chill with you guys. Either way, the GL train is showing no signs of stopping for me so... lfg

Enjoy!

I’m so happy you decided to do Affair after Blank😭easily the best one so far

Tf

Btw, after seeing the trailer for Pluto, it looks like it's going to be really great. The first episode comes out after the final episode of Affair. Again, Set in the same universe. I think most people agree that Pluto is her best book.

I'm so happy to have watched gap with you, amazing actors amazing show overall. It was really fun and I'm so excited about the next series i'm gonna watch with you <3

As much as I need TLP in my life to satisfy my FreenBecky brainrot, same universe story continuity is also great!

I just got to this part so I will answer your question: I was actually kind of in a scenario like this (not an arranged marriage, but a “we can be together in secret but I’m going to be claiming this other person publicly” thing — and no, absolutely zero cheating was involved, it was just…weird for all parties 😭). I hated it. HATED it. I need a lot of validation to take the edge off of my insecurities and anxiety, and the whole thing just kind of made me feel like shit. Unworthy of being recognized, I guess? Anyway, the dynamic was a disaster situation for that and many more reasons, to the point where outside of the context of this question I continue to pretend that era never happened. I did learn to be much better with boundaries because of it, though, and honestly? I’m almost certain there’s only one person in the entire world I would willingly endure that kind of heartache for. Couldn’t do it again otherwise. (I would want to note that this doesn’t necessarily apply to closeted individuals or that I wouldn’t be with one; I’m still semi-closeted myself. Safety before everything, I absolutely understand that. HOWEVER. I could not just be a footnote to someone else’s whole entire separate life.)

Affair is great, too bad it's only 8 episodes... definitely one of the best gl out there so far (in my opinion).

mvp

Yeah!!! It was fun to rewatch it with you. Also The secret of us is my favorite gl series. So I hope you watch it after Affair with TLP ofc :)

It was a blast rewatching this series with you so thank you once again! You really put my thoughts into words beautifully at the end, for example I myself was so used to wlw characters dying on screen that I didn't even cry during the (heartwrenching) scenes when Song died, but I found myself bawling at the sweet and hopeful scenes at the end (the scene with grandma for example hit so hard because I'm literally married to a woman atm and my mother has no idea). It's also nice to see how much screen time they dedicated to discussing importance of marriage equality since at the time of filming gay marriage wasn't legal in Thailand yet. With regards to Blank continuity (since now I can say a bit more without spoilers) - you can just consider that in Blank universe plot of Gap finished at the airport scene where Sam went to stop Mon from leaving, they hugged and screen faded to black. Oh, and to answer your question - yes, I fear I would agree to such terms in a heartbeat for the woman I love because I'm simply too lesbian for my own good.

Just curious, since you mentioned that you have started Blank, will you be uploading your reactions to patreon?

So the random guy at the end is actually a special cameo. Saint is a BL actor but more importantly he invested a lot into getting this (risky)project off the ground. Also, my only gripe about this show is that we were robbed of the comedy gold that would've been seeing all the coworkers learning that sam and mon were together but I'm glad you've enjoyed your first foray into your "gl journey". Thailand has really found their soft power with GL/BL's So, I think I'll temporarily be getting off at this stop. Blank just isn't my personal taste and as for Affair....I really really wanted to like it. I was looking forward to it but (and this is definitely just my opinion) the storyline is a bit of a mess. It feels more like an ameteurish fanfiction. It romanticizes unhealthy obsession (not talking about EK either) and some of the the things the characters do and say seem over the top. The 2 leads though are impressive in their acting. I'd watch them in something else. Interested to see your opinion of it tho. TLP,however, I'll be seated for. Really enjoying that so far. I lean a little more towards BL's usually but TLP would easily be one of my top 5 Thai dramas depending on how it ends

This was fun! Definitely looking forward to ur next GL series. There are so many good ones out right now like THANK YOU THAILAND! And there are so many more coming out soon. To answer ur question, I agree w you I could not stay in a situation like that where I know my lover isn't fully mine because of the demands from family or whatever else it may be but I do completely respect those who would decide to stay. My personality just wouldn't let me. Also OMG I am right there w u about Santana. She was one of my gay awakenings as well lol. Glee will always have a special place in my heart because of that. Don't even get me started about Lexa... i can rant about that for days.. But yes moving on.. These Thai series have been so refreshing. GAP was one of the first ones I watched and it was great but the more u get into these newer ones the better and better some of them seem to be getting. I just recently watched The Secret Of Us and OMG... I look forward to ur reaction to that one for sure. FreenBeck have definitely opened up a platform for many of these newer shows coming up. Either way, I am very excited for this GL series journey you have started and am happy to be joining it!!

yes, starting next week, kaia said at the end that this will be a weekly thing. :))

Bria A.

OKAY! I finished. And I’m so sorry for being annoying and triple commenting. I love Sam from the bottom of my heart, I absolutely understand and cherish all of the layers of her character, I also understand that this is a drama and by default we are here for…the drama, and by god my heart is full with the ending — that said, hoo boy that was a little too much of Mon being dragged around on an emotional whiplash leash. They fully had like six different non-breakups. 🥲 All this to say that Mon is so much stronger than me; I would be too fragile for this shit lol. Nevertheless, love wins!

God, how did you not cry ?! I think I cried like 15 times. I really enjoyed watching this with you !! I'm hoping you will do the same with blank and loyal pin!! Waiting for you to watch them 🤩

Tf

Affair is definitely less fluffy then series like gap, tlp, 23.5 etc It has quite a bit of angst. But the actors imo have the most intense/passionate chemistry I have seen in a GL so far, it's definitely worth watching for them.

GapTheSeries

Im in for the loyal pin♥️ for me its a good choice following up freenbecky project. But the loyal pin is not yet finish it has 6 episodes left it means 6 more weeks to finish. So I'd rather suggest another series like Show me love by englot another popular gl pair or the secret of us by lingorm we can wait until the loyal pin is finished in nov

Pizza Alwaysss

I really appriciate your reaction to the gap!!! I really enjoyed. There r lots of GL dramas in Thai thesedays but they were alone at the beginning. But their chemistry n acting is so nice! Im waiting your another GL drama reaction! I might be watch it already but it really makes me feel happy that watching it again with you! Im watching loyal pin from freenbecky thesedays. I hope that we can watch it together hehe. And i love your cuteness🥹

Enjoyed rewatching this with you. Gap was the series that started it all when it comes to Thai GLs so it feels right that this was your first one. Also all the GLs that you said you are gonna watch, you can’t go wrong w/ any of them. My Top 3 in are Gap, The Secret of Us & Affair so far tho….The Loyal Pin is FreenBeck so you can’t go wrong there & they also have a movie coming out soon.

Marceee

I just discovered your gap reactions, hope you give the chance to more gls (the one I’m waiting for is 23.5) thank you!

shai del villar

Ahhhh, been binge watching GAP here again. I've been your subscriber in YT since you've started your channel. Recently, joined Patreon as you have started watching GL series here specially GAP hehe. Hoping that you can watch The Loyal Pin after Blank. You will see the level of improvement Freen Becky had and also the depth of the story of TLP is way more mature and story line is really great 🥰 Will you also react to GL moments as well?

Phanith Soeur

Gap is the first Thai gl series and open to other gl series and make anyone accept it more and so proud of freenbecky thank you for your best reaction
