I LOVE EP 12 AHHHH for me that was the episode that fully hooked me on ATLA, it’s just so good The Avatar giving people hope parallel, Zuko’s backstory…so good! These reactions are lowkey the highlight of my week, and the show just keeps getting better and better 😊

I can always count on you to enjoy the underrated things—fun (?) fact, The Great Divide is considered *thee* filler episode of basically the entire series and is very controversial because of that, to the point where a much later recap episode I will not spoil deliberately leaves it out. 😭 (As a person who watched the show as a kid while it was airing, I only recently became aware of this drama. I do admittedly skip it sometimes lmao.)

No fr! When I first watched it, I didn’t have strong feelings about The Great Divide but then everyone online was like “WORST EPISODE” so 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ lmaooo

About the hairstyle 😊 I've not read this novel myself, but in a video I saw on YouTube about cultural references in ATLA they mentioned an explanation that were presented in a released novel "the rise of kyoshi." I found this quote from an article about the explanaition: "It was then explained that if the loser of an Agni Kai is spared, they have to shave every part of their head except for the topknot. This gesture is similar to other cultures in that it is a sign of shame for one's humiliating defeat."

I’m so glad you started watching this, it’s the ones I look forward to the most, even though I subscribed because of kpop 😂 the writing and character development in this show is just so good
