Something I find funny about the editing of Shun and Dai in this episode is they show Shun continuing to ignore Dai on the couch (when Dai is wearing his green hoodie) but in the flashbacks when Ryota is sharing that his feelings for Shun were more friendly than romantic they show Shun and Dai laughing and hanging out together in the kitchen like nothing is happening.

i also don't think that shun is a red flag etc. but i got the feeling that he has been with very toxic guys and thats the reason why he behaves the way he does. he just needs some more time to adjust?

I think we can understand how and why Shun behaves and also criticize him, because it’s true that he still needs growth. His past is an explanation, not an excuse. But I think Shun isn’t a red flag like a lot of people who watched this show were saying, he just needs to work more on healthy communication

Also about the whole Shun explaining how he felt a difference in energy thing, I think rather than explaining his feelings about him, he could have just told Dai that he felt like he needed some space. That way it wouldn’t hurt Dai’s feelings as much as ignoring him, and it sets some boundaries.

I watched several reactions of the show and I have to say that I really like that you try to understand Shun (while also criticizing him) and don’t just call him a red flag.

Hey, just letting you know Ep 5 is not in the same tier as the rest of The Boyfriend Episodes (The BL tier) so I can't watch it even tho I can with the rest of the eps, even after Ep 5
