Cursed shackles are tools that are used to restrain a banished god's power. In the 1st season it was implied that Xie Lian has them as well. That's why he was so intrigued. It basically means that Hua Cheng, known god hater, has a god that works for him that he tolerates

I don't believe all of these were explicitly stated even in the novel, but a ghost is a dead person that has not only an uber strong unfulfilled desire attaching them to this world (stronger than death) but this desire causes them lots of pain, be it resentment, guilt, rage, etc.

As for the calamities (ghost kings), there are four that can be remembered by colors: Green, Black (Blackwater, water ghoul that keeps low-profile), White (White-clothed calamity that destroyed XL's kingdom ages ago), Crimson. They haven't told us who's the strongest, only that Green Lantern is the weakest.

In the cultivation novels written by MXTX (the author), a ghost is described as a dead human who either died with some sort of lingering emotion that ties them to the world (strong hate, or regret) or developed one after death (I think there's only one case of this, though). A ghost = a dead human, and a Heavenly official is an ascended human. (Whereas a Demon is a separate race entirely).

It’s like Hua Cheng is trying to court him but everything he does is for the Prince covered in gold he remembers and is so overly grand that Cue Lian is just like “this must be what life is like as the lord of the city” 😂😂😂

I think it might be one of those things where Hua Cheng won’t lie to him on principle, and Xie Lian keeps secrets people trust him to keep on principle because he won’t break that trust.
