I think for Wu Suowei, internalized homophobia plays a huge role. We see throughout the show how much he tries to convince himself he’s straight and how much pressure there is on him to marry a woman and have children. This being in China is especially difficult because China is not progressive at all towards same sex couples. That’s why I think the pride flags in this show play a huge role. In their like “gang” dens or whatever they have a lot of pride stuff and I feel like that’s an act of rebellion against chinas government. Anyways I just feel bad for Suowei even though he can be kind of frustrating sometimes ❤️

i mean too late, this all started with WSW's mom asking CC to lie, last three times WSW saw CC with his ex was when they kissed and CC didnt comeback home that night, then he saw CC and the ex get in a car at the clinic and drive off and cc didnt come back that night either; CC said he was with a client (which was a lie he was with WSW mom, but WSW only seen him with the ex last) and then he sees CC and GC jump the ex's brother after he splashes the ex with water? so WSW just assumes CC wants to go back with the ex and WSW trying to give him a way out; thats what WSW told the Doctor.

he's also not used to having a person to himself, yueyue literally had boyfriends while they where engaged, not to mention his mother raised him, and she's the actual catalyst to most of these current misunderstandings by her asking CC to lie, i dont know if letting your boyfriend sit alone on a bench in rain for half an hour while you hop in a car with your ex is showing that you love him... or kissing by a pond and then not showing up both nights afterwards because thats WSW perspective

But like, you also need to take into consideration the fact that both times (with the rain and with the suprise kiss) CC did not see WSW there at all. He's not an all-knowing god and WSW is not communicating with him at all. CC is an asshole but WSW isn't an innocent little lamb either.
