Ive read that in the original novel Jun liked Po, but he backed down when he realized how serious Thame is about him. I'm convinced that's also the case here. Otherwise why would he flirt with Po and do all those things for him, even in situations when Thame wasn't there to witness it? Imo Jun lied to spare Thame's feelings, that's just the kind of shit a character like him would pull off. He acts all arogant and self-important but in reality he always puts his friends first.

Jun in the novel likes Po. They made it more ambiguous in the series. Sometimes viewers forget we see the entire picture of all the characters but the characters themselves don’t have the same info viewers do- like we can see all the ThamePo moments but the Jun characters doesn’t like he knows Po like Thame but he doesn’t see Thames side. But at the end of the day Po never liked Jun so doesn’t matter Po was always gonna “choose” Thame
