Imo it was definitely safer for Thame and Po to interact in public than it was for Pepper and Gam. As long as they didn't get caught kissing or holding hands, the worldwide heteronormativity would work in their favor. Everything they did could be explained as them just hanging out as friends. Even the photos that the evil CEO has (of them going to Po's apartment) don't really reveal that much. Thame could just say they were hanging out bc of work, and im sure most of the public would eat it up. (People get so offended at a mere suggestion or a joke ab their idols being gay.) Things get trickier when it's a hetero couple (ironically), bc people jump on idols as soon as there's a hint of a hetero dating rumor. Ofc the fallout of Thame and Po's relationship would be greater, because if Thame got into a "gay dating scandal" Korea definitely wouldn't want him anymore. So they still should try and hide a bit better lol.

I always find it funny that Thame never hide himself and never got caught but tbh with dating scandal there is this situation where a lot of fans already know their favs are dating and have proof, but they don't release it right away (because of many different reasons depending on the case), and when the dating scandal is being exposed you can always see these people releasing picture from years ago of the couple being in a date, adding more prof to the case. I even remember some scandal where an idol was accused of something but then their saesang said "no it's not true I was watching him getting home 3 month ago at this time so he didn't do what this rumour is saying" it's really creepy but it show that if your not from the country of the idol group, there is a lot of thing we don't know. So at the end of the day being careless like this is not that rare (and with Tpop industry it's still better than Kpop because you have top group idols that are in a relationship and it's going great, so it really depends on the fandom)

The 2 extra credit scenes are on episode 12 & 13, they are called "Mars Diaries". Btw Dylan's actor, Hong speak English well because he's a gen Z chronically online that spend a lot of time on TikTok and Twitter, his personality is really different from Dylan and idk why but he have this obsession with England so you can see him in some videos trying to speak with the accent.

you explained this soooo well. I never thought about it like this before but you’re so right. K-pop Stan’s get so pressed when idols are accused of being gay that they will do anything to shut that down so I wouldn’t be surprised if they did that here too.

The thing about what Pemika was telling Po too about how she was just trying to make everyones dreams come true is that dreams change. Yeah they started out and their goal they listed on their application was to be successful but they were all probably super young when they started and new to the industry and success can mean so many different things depending on the person. What they saw to be success when they started can change after being in the industry for a while. Even Thame has stated this before, yeah they all initially wanted to be successful in the industry but after being with Mars, his dream and main goal was to be successful as a group, not by himself. If you have to force someone to take something from you, they most likely don't want it. What I hate is that yeah the other members "got what they wanted" but it wasn't because Thame is going to Korea. It's because she wasn't investing in the other members because she didn't deem them important or worthy enough and then got angry and annoyed with them because they were defying her wants and ideals so once she finally got her way after stepping all over them she decided to give them a "reward" for doing what she wanted them to. It's classic manipulation and no matter how many times I watch this show and they try to show her in a somewhat decent light at the end I will never see her in any sort of positive light ever.
