Thamepo is one of those shows you watch only once and never again. A perfect refresher after watching a heavy show but I still enjoyed watching it again with you. I don’t know what you will go for in the next bl but there’s a shows currently airing called Melody Of Secrets which is a Mystery/Thriller and Iwould love to see your reactions and theories because it is quite complex. Something we don’t normally get with bl.

Thea Olivia

Honestly for me, ThamePo is like a warm blanket, they show that you can watch again and again when you need a hug and comfort... And i believe he rearly watch on going show.

Vera

One day BLs will free themselves from this weird need to have redeemable villains/antagonists. It probably won't be anytime soon, but one day 🤞 It can be kinda overlooked in the shows like Khemjira, bc we got so much backstory on Ramphueng (it still felt very rushed tho), but with the CEO in Thamepo or the asshole friend in The Eight sense or the abusive mother in Blueming it almost felt like screenwriters and directors wanted us to pretend like nothing happened, hold hands and sing kumbaya at the end. It's very frustrating every time it happens.

Cindie

Yeah. That too. I mean I guess that’s why I was able to rewatch it again with him. Also he watched Khemjira while it was ongoing so I don’t think that’s an issue but if he prefers it all aired out then that’s still fine.

Vera

If you want to watch something with an interesting cinematography i recommend checking out a trailer for an upcoming GL show called Oxytoxin. It's on GMMTVs youtube channel. I really hope the whole show looks like this, not only the trailer

Vera

I honestly have no clue what the next bl is lol. I haven't been keeping up with recent japanese shows, the only ones ive heard of are Punk's Triangle and the School Trip one

Faye

Gelboys or Only friend as the next BL! These are so good

Kpop is definitely going down also because other Asian countries that were before obsessed with Kpop are now realising that the industry is shitty and many more factors, so they are developing their own industry that's why Tpop is growing fast. Thai fans are now starting to let go of Kpop to support their own local idol group, they are really proud of it ! Before you had so many Thai artist that wanted to debut in Korea because to them it was the only way of success, but now they can grow in their own country and be popular as well

Léa

It's funny that you're comparing mars music with TXT because their real group LYKN is doing more "noisy" songs compared to the songs they produced for Thamepo, so if one day you would want to react to Lykn it can be fun. Also yes they did film the Garnier ad while the show was airing, but the script of it was mainly influenced by the fans, at first they didn't plan to do something with JunDylan it was not canon, but these boys had chemistry and we were going crazy about them with little crumbs that they decided to give us more. Nut and Hong (the actors) are now really shipped and have many events together, and will also act together in another show but let's see if it will be friends or more, but it so funny to me because I was at the event in Thailand where they project the last episode and we watch it with the actors, this last scene where they look at each other basically confirming that something was really happening between them, was one of the moments where the crowd shouted the most !

Léa

When he talked about liking Japanese bl because of the cinematography, I really want him now to watch GelBoys or even Paradise of Thorns because Boss Kuno is definitely one of the best BL (and even in general) directors of Thailand, his show are always so good

I also don't like how they handled Pemika's story line tbh but I don't really have an issue with her not getting any repercussions because in reality, 95% of idols in the idol industry are being exploited or emotionally and sometimes physically abused and these companies still move forward and make millions. Idols don't actually start making money until way later in their careers and they gain a huge amount of debt before even debuting because the dorms, food and clothing expenses and training that the company they are signed to provide are all a "loan" that the idols have to pay back once they debut. It's pretty common for 95% of an idols income to go to the company for the first few years of their career and a lot of these contracts have crazy stipulations and fees for breaking contract. Some companies are so big they can literally black ball you from the industry (has happened in k-pop before with an idol who was not able to get work in the industry for like 15 years because his companythat he left black balled him). For these reasons, often times idols bite their tongue and put up with it until they make a name for themselves and build up a solid fanbase then decide to not renew their contracts and open their own company or find a new one that is hopefully better. They don't sue or go to the press because they don't have the funds or support to do so without being completely buried by the company either financially or career wise or both. Often times, even if they hate their company they leave "on good terms" just so they can be free without any issues and move on with their lives and careers. It was nice of Pemika to transfer ownership of the Mars trademark to them, not many companies do that, but it doesn't make up for all the shit they put them through and based on the last scenes, they aren't in contact with Pemika anymore but they do act cordially when they run into each other at schedules and events because that's bound to happen and it's better to stay peaceful than cause a lot of drama. The drama may have intended to make Pemika seem softer in her last scene but I refuse to see it that way lol for me it felt more like Pemika is a very one track minded person and she needed to get her way and what she wanted but once they finally stood up to her in a way that she couldn't pull them back in because they did it publically, she just gave up and was tired of fighting them so allowed them to go but either way they still owe a large amount of money to Oner ent so she still wins in the end I guess.

Rii7e

Are you gonna watch School trip now? I think you said something about watching it once it was done airing right?

Rii7e

Also Dylan and Jun’s actors are actually gonna be in a series together for 2026 although im not sure if it’s in a romantic way (it looks like it though)

I enjoyed your reaction to ThamePo, Out of all your reactions I especially liked your take on Jun. As for Pemika, while it my view might not be popular I actually liked how they did her arc. I feel like they didn't give her a redemtion arc but an arch that gave a glimpse of what a more busniess like view of the situation. By doing that I felt they did great job offering the views from a fan, idol, company, and through Po connect all those views. I think from your reaction you felt Pemika was not business savy and I agree she lack the human side of things but I feel for her role it was her job to remove the human side and just show that from company stand point idols are just merchandise and based on how public reacts determins how much is invested in the merchandise or not. I know you didn't like Po's acting and I agree all the acting has room for improvement but considering this was the first real series I belive for Lykn members and first lead role for Po I was actually shocked at how well they got the feelings across. I might be more emotional but Po almost brought me to tears in the first episode alone and Thame I couldn't stand him. For me the acting was great maybe because while the techniques needed work they where able to portray the emotion so well that just by facial expresions alone I knew how the characters felt. I also at first wished that they explored Dylan and Nano character more along with the relationship of JunDylan more but after listening to some other people impression of Thamepo I feel it was best that they focused on Thamepo and used the relationship of Pepper and Gam to enhance the story rather than just add another relationship pair with dynamics that couldnt or wouldnt have enough time to be explored and used to enhance the story. with that being said I do hope they have a sequal that explores JunDylan dynamics. for a complex char like Jun he deserves the screen time and plot line to be flushed out

Sangyu Chi

Can see and agree with the Eight Sense, but I feel like they really didnt Redeem Pemika, even near the end she even states something along the lines of "dont thank me you have to pay" solidifying there was no redemption given nor saught it was about business and investment for her and they left how you felt about Pemika to the audiance. Even with granting of Mars name to the group reminded me of GOT7.

Vera

GOT7 left jyp after their contract expired, and because of that they were able to negotiate a fair price to buy out their brand name. Jyp didn't just give it to them, and i think it was said that Pemmika just allowed them to use it. She didn't even fire Mick. Her redemption arc wasn't as literal as the guy's in the ES, but it was very heavily implied that the audience wasn't supposed to root for her imminent demise by the end of the series. Imo gmmtv tried way to hard to have their cake and eat it at the same time. They couldn't commit to a truly evil villain and tried to humanize her way too much, while making her treat MARS like her little barbie dolls that she can just push around.

Sevvy4ever

they have confirmed they will just be playing friends

Sevvy4ever
