kitties!

Neko Reaction

Please react to my beautiful man for the next bl’s reaction

Abbazzaba

Damn he kicked him down the same stairs his dad did 😂

Mel~

Get well soon! Don’t push yourself too hard!!!🫶🏻 The kitties are sooo adorable in the background🤏🏻🥹 Also, I agree with you! We can understand why JG would want revenge towards people who bullied him, but it doesn’t mean he’s in the right. The fact that we got involved innocent people to obtain what he wanted showed me that “taking revenge” was more of a excuse to be in power (though I’m sure he wanted to take revenge still). I feel like besides hating people that were above him, he was jealous of their power, so he wanted that for himself. The irony of him hating being bullied to him turning into an even worse bully is crazy.

Yaaaay the best notification! and two eps I'm so happy 😍

Glenny Lennox

You are gonna lose it when the letter stuff comes out lol

Glenny Lennox

Yes I second this! My favorite BL of all time. I’m currently reading the novels!

What I love most about these episodes is the parallels. For example, Guangyao saying he is different/more important than those he sacrificed. Xue Yang said something similar about his pinky being worth the 50 lives of the Chang Clan he killed. He and Guangyao think so highly of themselves. Compared to Wuxian, who was also lower class, he’s always more ready to sacrifice himself instead. Again, likely because of what his parents instilled in him at a young age. Then there are Wangji and Xichen, both trusting their ‘misunderstood’ men even when their 'brothers' did not. ie. Xichen, Guangyao, and Mingjue compared to Wangji, Wuxian, and Jiang Cheng. The two trios can be put side by side and compared in a lot of situations, it’s just that one trio held the real villain. I do feel bad for Xichen in a way. He was blinded by his gratitude for Meng Yao saving him after Cloud Recesses burned, but Xichen also wanted to stand up for the underdog. Wuxian could have been viewed similarly, except he got too powerful to be considered that way and went against the grain full out instead of hiding in the shadows like Meng Yao. I don’t actually like Xichen but he does get a lot of hate for how naïve he seems in the show. (Not bringing up how he is in the books). It’s truly annoying because Wangji literally loves Wuxian but tried not to just blindly trust him 16 years ago. Not the right choice… but he tried to see both sides and be objective. Xichen had blinders on and since Meng Yao was more subtle in his actions, Xichen could ignore it all. I think it's worse since Xichen is literally a clan leader so you'd expect more. Anyway, end of rant. Until the next few episodes… It’s meat and potato time in the show so I can’t shut up.

Also, not too get too serious about it, but there’s a really beautiful thing in this last episode. You might remember earlier after he came back, WW asked LZ why are you helping me? And LZ responded, “I have regrets. Not standing by your side at Nightless City.” For LZ, that is one of the greatest regrets his life, not standing by the man he loved and ultimately losing him because he was torn between duty and love. In this episode, WW tries to give LZ the chance to keep his reputation and pushes him away, but LZ refuses to say he didn’t know it was WW and chooses to stand by him this time knowing what it would cost him. There’s a lot there in that and I think it’s really beautiful, an example of his love for him, and an example of 16 years of learning a lesson for LZ: life isn’t always black and white. He learned that after losing WW

Leaf

The only other reason our man Wangji survived is that he wasn't involved in a cursed throuple ✊😔

Leaf

Meng Yao takes advantage of the fact that he is playing a role to kill a bunch of Nie Clan members and then is like 'but I did it for the cause 🥺👉👈' yeah right

Leaf

The problem with Lan Xichen is that he only sees the meek an pathetic side of Meng Yao because that's what Meng Yao shows him, so then when Nice Mingjue accuses him of some shit because Meng Yao just killed a bunch of people in front of his face, Lan Xichen, who's never seen Meng Yao hurt a fly is automatically taking his defense and trying to be the middle ground because he doesn't think Meng Yao is capable of that. Meng Yao really knows how to take advantage of Nie Mingjue's firey personality to make him seem unreasonable and rash in front of Lan Xichen 🙄 he's playing the 'don't be so hysterical' bit like a seasoned actor

Rachel

I third this. Also my favorite BL of all time

nancy metz

Thank you for 2 episodes! I could tell it was difficult for you. Don't you hate it when Wei Wuxian gets overconfident? Bites him in the ass every time. I don't think Jin Ling has actually drawn blood before? Or was his response because it was Wei Wuxian? Good of Lan Xichen to at least keep an open mind.

nancy metz

Being rather dense here. What are you referring to?

Léa

a 2 episode reaction let's goooo !

Léa

also idk if you know (and interested) but domundi the company of khemjira and duang with you, just released their ceremony with all of their pilot of their next shows who will air next year (and even in 2-3 years) it could be a good reaction video ! The majority of the plots are good, so if you want to do it their pilot are on the mandee YouTube Chanel

Neko Reaction

Me too, I read the novel, and this my favourite BL ever, I love the complexity of the characters 😍

Leaf

Seeing your cats roam freely in the background is really the cherry on top xD

Leaf

Nie Mingjue died of Chi deviation - basically his chi didn't go where it was supposed to go when he was meditating and he lost control. I guess they explain it by the fact that music is made of vibration, like the rest of the body so it might have had an impact when he was meditating and sent the chi on a wrong path as he modified the melody.

Jun Hinotori

Kitties in the background, I cannot ask for anymore... The orange one I believe that he believes in Meng Yao too... 😻😻😻

I’m currently reading Desire, the one they made ABO Desire from

I personally just love that LZ FINALLY knows what he thinks and believes, and has his mouth aligned with his brain instead of just constantly insulting Wei Ying with every word out of his mouth. Even though we haven’t seen much of them discussing anything other than the issues surrounding the mysterious corpse pieces, essentially discussing work and he’s not just been civil but almost deferential to his opinions and theories. However this shows he’s 100% done with saying things he doesn’t really mean and always leaving without even letting him know other than the last time he visited and still not saying goodbye or giving well wishes or anything: likely because he had to live with everything he said and did to Wei Ying before he threw himself off a cliff and was dead for over a decade. I’d imagine that would probably make all the nasty, mean, and plain rude things you’d said and done play on a loop even if you didn’t love them, if you DID love them that loop isn’t likely to end. That’s why it makes me happy to see him remediation so amazingly well. At least based on all the information he was able to learn since Wei Ying took some of his painful secrets to the grave.

Katie-Didn’t

Technically, Xichen didn’t participate in the “Wuxian is evil” commentary. He showed up because they were summoned, but when Wei Ying showed up at the clan meeting at Nightless City to have a chat with everyone about the agreement they were breaking Xichen didn’t draw his weapon or become hostile in any way. He didn’t say anything when everyone was getting hyped up beforehand or even nod. The same thing happened here. If he says anything in Wei Ying’s defense it will only hurt Wei Ying AND the Lan clan: between Lan Zhan being less than cooperative in the past AND now, they’d either be accused of working with Wei Ying the whole time or Wei Ying controlling them, and since Xichen is clan leader they would accuse the whole clan. Xichen’s name means something along the lines of “clear seeing Judge” as in an actual courtroom judge. He DOES look at a person’s character objectively, but he also needs evidence to believe something that doesn’t match what he sees from a person. The issue with Dimples is that his character isn’t actually evil or even that bad, he just has one particular belief that makes him feel justified in doing a LOT of bad things and since he doesn’t feel responsible for anything he didn’t PERSONALLY do, the number of deaths he refers to needs several zeros behind it as they wouldn’t have happened without his manipulations that he KNEW would most likely cause them. If they hadn’t, he’d have tried again till they did anyway. He just doesn’t feel any responsibility because they were other people’s actions even if it was at his instigation, they had a choice. So Xichen isn’t truly seeing him as someone he isn’t at his core, he’s just not seeing how his one issue/belief translates into actions. He’s not seeing a guilty or evil person because Dimples doesn’t bear any guilt and isn’t ACTUALLY evil (not like Xue Yang was even before he lost the last few marbles he had), just manipulative.

Katie-Didn’t

In his mind he did. The bulk of people that do horrible things never question whether they’re doing the right thing because they firmly believe they are from start to finish.

Katie-Didn’t

That and because the Nie clan all basically use a form of demonic cultivation that slowly corrupts their Qi and the pathways that channel it so every single person using their technique has died of Qi deviation… that’s why Dimples chose it as cause of death and sped it up because even though it was a clan secret and the deaths weren’t public knowledge, they’d make sure it wasn’t questioned.

Katie-Didn’t

3:55 In response to your mention of how much smarter and stronger he is- Dimples has an eidetic memory (usually called a photographic memory) and can recall everything he’s ever seen or heard with absolute perfect recall: exact words used, can make an exact copy of a map seen once no matter how briefly or how long ago etc. As a cultivator he didn’t have anyone to teach him a method of cultivation which was why he’d gone to the Jin clan with the token Jin daddy had left with his mother as proof of his heritage. THAT didn’t go as planned but he was accepted into the Nie clan. Obviously he’s fairly grown and it’s SUPER late for him to START cultivating (you’re considered a failed cultivator if you don’t form a golden core by your mid-late teens) and no one was exactly teaching him anything about cultivation there so in order to keep the secret that he’d read the cultivation manuals, practiced on his own, and formed his core in a fraction of the time it takes the average person he kept up the pretense that while he was knowledgeable, he was weak in cultivation. That’s why the offhand sounding comment from Wuxian at the banquet about his use of a flexible sword to kill with one strike hit him so hard- it’s NOT something a weak or inexperienced cultivator could do even if they were the luckiest person in the world. He’d also taught himself to play the Qin so well as a child that he’d frequently get paid to play in the general area for customers to lounge, eat, drink etc. at the prostitution house his mother worked at. Mainly because he lived there, didn’t have any income of his own, and played better than the professionals in the area for almost no cost comparatively speaking. He was NOT pleased when he found out how much he should have been getting paid and he’d started when he was like, 5-6.

Katie-Didn’t

23:00 yeah… like if it had been Wuxian acting undercover he’d likely have inflicted bloody non-fatal wounds with a “stay down” while leaning over to kick them and done a bunch of trash talk that was half true half made up because the way he acts pretending to be silly then switching gears straight to deadly calm he’d easily be able to drop the hints to play along while saying horrible things that are complete nonsense. You don’t actually HAVE to go after his dad to be a good spy. And Wuxian MIGHT have killed some of his people if they didn’t take the hint because he definitely prioritized winning the war as quickly as possible with minimal casualties, and even though he WAS making dead Wen clan members fight the living ones it was only to use up the resentment of the dead soldiers because wars cause a LOT of resentment; not a weird sense of humor or irony or cruelty. The last war caused the Burial Mounds to turn into the no-go zone for centuries.

LOL, I love your kitty getting in your way.😂 I watch your reactions on my tablet while sitting on my bed and MY cat has to walk in front of the screen 4 -6 times.

To put it simply, the spirit of the sword recognize the soul and the golden core of his owner but usually it takes a very long time for a sword's spirit to show this level of loyalty. So, in Wei wuxian's case, Subian recognize his soul. If it can help you to understand, it's like the wands in Harry Potter, some wands are really loyal to their bearer (cf: Harry Potter's wand) and they choose their sorcerer like swords choose their cultivator (they don't mention it in The Untamed)

nancy metz

I want Xichen's robe that he wears in the Song of Clarity scene!

Question: you're wondering if JC trusts JG or not. Could that "suspicion" be why JC watches over JL's night hunts? Making sure nothing untoward happens? Sorry for all the extra comments. I usually watch these three or four times to absorb the details. And why did the Jin clan get the sword instead of JC?

Jun Hinotori

He looks awesome in that color 🥰

"It's just a little stab in the stomach, surely it's not that serious?" What I think happens in the series at least is that that's the place where the golden core (or at least the center) is. It's the place he was holding after the operation, the place that is always attackt by Wen Zhuliu when he attacks the golden core. But I don't think it's coming knowledge. I think as in so many cases WWX wanted to be stabbed, for the show and also because he feels Jin Ling has the right to. This is in part why he is so weak afterwards, a wound somewhere else he heals quickly, but this place is especially like hitting the organ that allows accelerated healing. It's not something that is said anyway but looking at it that's what I see. As for the sword being sealed it is something that is extremely rare and just for really accomplished cultivators, if I remembered correctly. But from what we see about the sword unlocking I would say it recgnises the golden core, but also something else in the person (the "soul" part that is reincarnated WWX) he could draw it before without a golden core, the reason he didn't carry it is because he couldn't fight with it without revealing that he had no golden core.

Nico D. Dragon

One of them is the devil the other one seems like the devil but is actually an angel (an angel of death but still) the devil told everyone is a devil.

Glenny Lennox

Anyone know when we’ll get more of this?

nancy metz

I just can not stand that dimpled face. Even when he isn't smiling I want to slap him to Timbuckto. GRRRR.
