1) I think in the real world, gold does cost less depending on where you are. Like, it varies from country to country. So it might indeed cost less in Emmaly. I’ll be sure to buy some next time I’m there ^^ It might also depend on how much they’re exporting vs how much is left in the country. 2) Am I super weird that this episode lowkey made me ship Charan/Paythai? 3) The surprise!BDSM scene took me OUT the first time I saw it. 4) Honestly, I kinda love that Khanin is in his royal brat era. I totally get what you mean about the power imbalance between him and Charan and how he’s being a bit problematic by using his authority to get what he wants. But I’m also thinking of Khanin as a grieving, traumatized kid who was basically uprooted against his will and pushed into a situation he has no control of. And Charan, though you can say he was forced/groomed into his role, had an active hand in Khanin being there in the first place. I was lowkey FUMING when Charan went along with the king’s plan to basically lie to Khanin that his dad was dead. Because now this kid is isolated and has no support network (he does bond with Chakri eventually, but there’s also that servant/master dynamic which prevents them from being true peers/friends) and Charan, who 1) is complicit in traumatizing him and 2) is the ONLY one who shared the experience of the dangers of fleeing the country with him, basically gives Khanin the cold shoulder. Which was a choice on his part, because I don’t think Charan’s that lacking in agency. That choice may have been influenced by his own trauma, social conditioning, sense of duty etc, but it was still a choice. And I may be a little extreme in my opinion, but I think it was a cruel thing to do, especially since Charan *wants* to be closer to Khanin. So…. is my boy Khanin a little problematic this episode? Yes, but I still think he deserves his brat era. Rant over!

I feel that Prince Khanin got a taste of power and likes it.
