Wow. I mean wow. I mean like holy shit wow. I mean that was incredible. The animation quality has REALLY stepped up. The character designs are amazing. Dead Eye was incredible! It's so cool to see he's doing the same thing he did during that short film all those years ago. There's so much lore dropped this episode WOW! I mean I'm going to have to watch it 57 times over to catch everything I mean it's just utterly incredible. I know I've praised the animation a lot but I just want to say the writing in this show is downright phenominal. Everything flows, everything pays off, every single line feels intentional and the emotions that the characters are feeling feels TANGIBLE! I seriuosly can't wait for more. It seems like this episode is really setting up some BIG things and I can't wait to see them! (Hopefully it doesn't take a year this time though haha)! Seriously amazing work to everyone involved in this. I actually cannot put it into words how much I love this series. Please as always remember to drink enough water, get enough sleep, and take as many breaks as you all need. Sending all the love and support I possibly can!

Oh I love her I love her I LOVE HER!!! New favorite character starting here!!! Let the poor girl say sh*t! Maybe she can eventually tweak her translator somehow? Love the foreshadowing to the characters we'll be meeting during the stay on this planet, looks like we'll be having some adventures here for a while. Fun!! The lore is as interesting as ever! Living Machines are really not the norm in this Sci-Fi setting, can't wait to see it explored further! What a villain introduction at the end! I am honestly intimidated by that! After Kroe last episode I didn't think we'd get such a scary villain so soon, but colour me shocked!

okay. first things first i must reiterate that the music and vocal performances here are absolute top of the pile. special laurels to jean-francois donaldson this time, his energy in inhabiting beebs really shines through and his argument with shrike was some fantastic back and forth. carrie johnston is already a delight to me and i am so endeared to lariat right away, i was ESPECIALLY excited to hear she did, in fact, speak in scots! i had been wondering how their language barrier would be parsed since it was mentioned in a q&a shrike is not multilingual at all but his translator just glitches out and i genuinely screamed with excitement that i'd called that. i was really chomping at the bit for baby shrike when that little tidbit was dropped months ago and just how fucked his backstory was is everything i could have wanted. outright confirmation of his artificial lifeform status right off the bat, and worse, he was never supposed to be alive at all. treated coldly by those who made him and then thrust into the uncaring arms of LAW. chefs kiss. adding onto this the ableism of the robot society toward lariat and beebs and i'm starting to sniff some themes! speaking of the robots, oh they're everything i could have wanted. triangle is so sweet, but with just a tinge of being a guy you might not want to mess with. nuts is a great little snot, i'm already besotted. introducing a rude, confident character and then bringing him to his knees, i'm excited he's getting merch because it means he'll be hanging around. and dead eye, oh the cold terror he brings. still as cocky and as sure of his abilities than ever, but there's no more beating him at his own unfair game this time around. cant wait to see what his relationship is toward lariat, triangle, and maybach later. im thrilled we're finally getting to this point in the story, to see all four of our main characters finally together filled me with warmth. they dont know it yet but they're gonna be friends... much love to the monkey wrench team. i love this story and appreciate all of you!

Primary ink colors are cyan magenta and yellow. with black often added in, shorthanded to CMY....K. I feel confident that is where his name comes from. Interesting that the primary's are Red Blue and Yellow. Two additive (light) primaries and one subtractive (ink) . That plus the "there have always been 3 primaries" line makes me wonder if green used to hold yellows spot. Also of note. Shrikes gem is a pretty solid cyan. I wonder if his bag of holding trick is related to the red space (and black space) from the beginning of this episode.
