This is a little sound test I did of my new Rode NT-1 before I started recording this morning. Tell me what you think and if you like it more than the old recorder I was using. The Tascam DR-40 worked great for a while, and I loved how portable it was, but it started getting pretty bad electrical interference issues at more sensitive gain levels which I always record on because it gives my voice a crisp and clear finish. Something about the gain being cranked and it literally being battery powered all in one tiny little space. I tried recording on it yesterday and just about lost my marbles getting mad at it lmao Good thing I had just ordered this and all I had to do was set it up.

New mic sounds good 👍 Are you still recording on the floor? 🤔 💭 I heard you mention 'closet' so I thought, 'oh maybe he finally a got an empty closet and turned it into a studio.'

It’s always amazing what you and your voice can do…but especially so when you are sitting on a little hairy chair in a soundproof closet. That’s going to any length for your craft and DELIVERING, dude!! Just listened to a couple bloopers and a most recent recording…the new equipment is n I c e. Thanks, Ichi, for giving your best to we Gekis!

Can definitely tell a difference in the audio! The new mic is crisper? Less staticky? The consonants are coming through a lot clearer (to me anyway). Big takeaway: audio good 👍

It’s got that “shivers down the spine, it’s like it’s directly in my brain”-possibility, which is good!
