An underrated anime that I think very few people have watched and that I think is really underrated: Princess Tutu! It’s cute, wholesome, heartbreaking and sweet! And there’s ballet, and classical music, but the story is so good, so it’s no issue if ballet isn’t someone’s “thing”. Another would be “Skip Beat!” and there’s one called “Devil’s Line” that’s a bit spicier!

An underrated gem of an anime to me is Magi the labyrinth of magic. It's an anime that's is heavily based of of aladdin, the arabian knights amd sinbad the sailor. It has awsome combat scenes stellar music and the art and character design is peak but be warned it can have mature themes of fan service but if you get past that it's actually a really interesting anime with a gripping story and amazing world building. And it deserves more attention ❤️

Doggone it, I felt called out in this, and I stared at my screen gobsmacked. I have DEFINITELY bought the wrong date for a flight to see a past flame (scheduled to arrive at their location the same day they were flying out to an anime con), and they definitely had to save me from my blunder. And I was absolutely not living that down ever, even after we amicably split and have been good friends since. And I would NEVER cause harm to a holy relic like the fabled CLANAAD blu-ray. I may be an agent of chaos, but I'm no HEATHEN. I cherish my Trigun DVD box set like it's a sacred gift from the heavens, especially since its STILL not released on blu-ray. Now all the cool kids have moved on to Trigun Stampede. Back in my day, I had to haunt Suncoast Video or FYE like a gremlin to get the dubbed VHS or DVD that had 3 or 4 episodes per VHS/DVD. Getting the whole arc of an anime was a well earned battle in the before times. -slowly sits in old rocking chair with a cup of Metamucil- I'm feeling pretty old saying this, but my favorite, and somewhat underated anime is Detective Conan, or as us 'Muricans knew it as, "Cased Closed". Its like the Law and Order tv show cross pollenated with slice of life Scooby Doo escapades. The creator has had this show on the air in Japan since 1996, and with over 1000 episodes of episodic "Who dunnit'? shenanigans, I could stop watching and then return to it, barely missing anything crucial. Also, anything having to do with Lupin the 3rd, or Appleseed are an instant favorite.

This audio rlly hit home, even though we got to take trains instead of flights to see each other. Absolutely LOVED this audio, brought back memories about how hard it was back then. It’s hard to pick my favourite anime but maybe konosuba, and any studio ghibli film ngl. Underrated anime for me would be ancient magus bride, LOVED watching it, and maybe Violet evergarden too, stunning visuals and story, made me cry every damn episode 🥹
