Episode 9 Progress - 04/11/18 (Patreon)

Hey, I wanted to get a quick update in before the month got away from me.

The script is very, very close to being done.  I'm almost at the final draft, but not QUITE there.  I still think I need to pass it around to a few more people before I finalize it.  I'm so glad I'm really taking the time to flesh it out.  I've been touching it pretty much every day for the last month and the results really show.

Also, if you can tell from the picture, the models, as well as the dynamic effects, are looking way better.  With Blender, I can do a lot more with them.  In terms of action and pure visuals this is going to be the best episode by far.  I am giddy about the prospect of bringing to life the scene where Charmander single handedly fights the Caterpie army.

But I must reiterate that animation school is taking up a huge chunk of time.  The general consensus seems to be that taking my time on Squad as opposed to rushing it is the way to go.  And based on how much the script has improved since the last update, I can definitively say that this is the case.  Although this continues to move at a snail's pace, it's shaping up to be something I can be really proud of.
