Coming down to the wire here!  More lighting and rendering this week.  I forgot how annoying rendering flames could be and there are a lot of them in Act 3.  I'm really excited to see the reactions to some of the bigger action scenes.   They're not all that technically impressive, but they definitely hit all the emotional notes I wanted to hit and I think they're quite enjoyable.  It's been difficult for me to not obsess constantly over small details and focus on the big picture, especially when it comes to dynamics like fire.   But I've definitely tried to keep myself in check.

After I finish 21725 frames, there are a couple of shots I'd like to go back and re-render.  In the process of doing all this, I've actually become better at it, and some of the earlier scenes don't quite have the look I really wanted and I now know how to create.  It's just a few here and there, though.  Once I hit 21725, everything after that will be polish, cleaning up, and details.  And I'm getting ever closer!
