Episode 8 Progress - 05/01/17 (Patreon)

Hey there! 

I'm still chopping away at this thing.   I've decided to update the Patreon at the first of every month, no matter how far along or behind I am.    As you can see, virtually all of the modeling and set building is complete.  All the character models are done, including the “abominations”, doing one of which took a lot of experimenting on my part.  I'd show you here, but it's a major spoiler for the episode.  All that's really left is “Misc Props” for Act 2, which I may need to do after most of the animation is complete.  I'd go in to more detail, but, again, major spoilers. 

For the voice acting, I finally got a chance to get a session with “M”, and it sounds amazing.  I cannot wait for you all to hear it.  All that's left is “P”, who is currently waiting for some repairs on his work space.  His role is minor, so I can still do most of the animation without his voice.  The only other box left un-checked is “C”, which is me, because I keep going back and re-doing my dialogue.  There are many parts I'm still unsatisfied with that I still feel like I can get better takes of.  Charmander has some major dialogue this episode, and I feel the need to get it JUST right. 

 As for the animation, as you can see, a big chunk of it is done.  Four out of twelve scenes are finished.  Granted, they were some of the shorter scenes, but nonetheless, they're a pretty big chunk of the episode.  The majority of this month will be dedicated to finishing the rest.  In the meantime, I'm also chipping away at parts of the sound design, which will make a HUGE difference this episode. 

As a side note, I think this one is going to be my favorite episode. 

I'd really like to finish this month, but we'll see what happens.  I have a major commitment that starts for me on June 24th, so I NEED to finish it by then.  I'll keep you posted.
