Yeah why not, but if I’m not mistaken 97 is a 4th or 5th season so y’all would have to start with the ‘92 X-men series it’s the first couple seasons

I think yes but don’t do it in place of other content since it’s not going to play into anything. I haven’t seen it yet but the actual Marvel stuff should take priority over it. So maybe it’s something you do down the road in a couple months

I would enjoy it, but first you’d have to watch the original five seasons of X-Men: The Animated Series. X-Men ‘97 picks right after the events of season five. In other words, this is season six. Take your time though. Two more seasons are in development.

My opinion, maybe later, but with all you got going on now, I'd wait until you get done GOT and are closer to catching up with the MCU.

Yes, but maybe in a couple of months. I don't want you to replace content to watch it. It's animated, and while it is a TRUE take on the comics Xmen, it doesn't have anything to do with the multiverse saga that you are in now (phase 4).

I voted yes, but you should do Spider-Man (1994) animated series first (first 2 maybe 3 seasons), then go for X-men.

you would have to watch the 1992 animated series first, since this is a direct continuation of that, effectively a new season of that show

Well I'm sure there are highlight recap videos. I watched that long ago and don't remember much of it. I'm not about to rewatch 5 seasons. So I'm sure a recap could help.

The Animation alone killed the vibe for me. It looks similar to the old style but it's far from it. The voice acting is hard to enjoy too. I get they hired the original cast and thats cool in theory but Rogue sounds like she's 60

It’s amazing and you don’t HAVE to watch the original. They made the show in a way that everyone can enjoy, even if you haven’t seen the OG series. It’s a brand new story arc. Anything you need to know from the past gets explained right away. And they do a good job of reintroducing the characters like it’s the first time we’re meeting them. As long as you have a basic understanding of X-Men, you will love this show 💯. People who have seen the original just get the added bonus of childhood nostalgia.

This is tough, I'd prefer you get a feel for the old series to appreciate any similarities, but I also understand the hype of doing something current. The first episode of the original could almost stand alone to get the feel though. I do agree with others not to replace it with anything else you have going. Maybe do that EP of the original and see how you feel? Then do the new which I guess only has two EPS out so far? Idrk but I'd personally watch any and all.

personally id like yall to catch up a bit on phase 4, and do some of the other shows ya'll havent done yet. I'd like to see it eventually, just not now.

Yes but only if you skip the previous seasons. The previous seasons are great but it would take you forever to get caught up to the current season. X-Men 97 is only on the third episode this week so you wouldn’t be spending a bunch of time watching it. You guys already watch a lot, adding another 5 seasons along with the mcu shows would feel like a lot.

I voted yes, because I will always be in favor of more X-Men content 😜😁 But I do agree to not replace anything you are already doing. So, yes watch it, but maybe not right now 🤷‍♀️ Of course if watching something more current would help your channel…then you gotta make the good business decision and get the views. As others have said you don’t have to watch the OG series, as of right now, to understand 97. Like anything Marvel, they have done a good job of giving exposition for people not familiar with the backstories from the OG series. That being said I would love for you guys to watch the OG series if you can fit it into the schedule at some point. According to Coy @ Reel Rejects you can watch all 5 seasons of the OG series in 28 hours if you don’t sleep 😆 Whatever you guys decide is best for the channel and your schedules, I’m here for it, and look forward to watching along!!! Just remember the X-Men movies were very loosely based on the comics and the animated series are a far more authentic adaptation of the comics. Some characters and storylines will go from only a little different to almost completely different, but it’s all good stuff and the main themes still hold true in both the movies and animated series.

7 episodes in and I think X-Men '97 is one of the best animated marvel shows based on my opinion and apparently every reactor watching it!
