Seeing all these great characters and some background info on them was a treat! Especially seeing Sam & Bucky become "co-workers." (aka partners!)

We love that Sam is finally EXACTLY who he should be which is CAPTAIN AMERICA! Honestly, love that he is now carrying the shield and still has his wings! That was the best part of the series along with Bucky now being a partner, and saving the boat!

Sharon story line.....ummmm to be continued? <--- can someone explain this more if it doesn't contain spoilers bc she seemed to be an art dealer but maybe she is about to be an arms dealer?

Elaine from Seinfield & Johnny Walker (RIP Battlestar, sad to see him go so soon!) their storyline hopefully will continue as well!

As far as politics goes with captain America, world war 2 was the inspiration for the captain America character and story so basically anything with captain America just be ready to hear some political stuff or government stuff lmao😭

Not sure if you guys picked up on the reveal that Sharon is the mysterious Power Broker that everyone seems to be afraid of. She’s the leader of the entire criminal underworld in Madripoor. She was behind the creation of the new super soldier serum. Karli was working for Sharon but she betrayed her and stole the serum. Karli has been on the run and living in fear ever since (that’s how dangerous Sharon apparently is). She is 100% a villain now. Having her back in the US government is very bad news.

As far as the other channel, I think it would be cool to see trailer reactions! Whether that be old trailers for things you've seen or trailers for stuff you haven't seen. Esp for the MCU. IRT the show, it wasn't that Sam or anyone was sympathizing with a terrorist per se. The point is that she was very young and went down a wrong path. Sam has therapy in his background, and his capacity to empathize and try to help others before fighting is what makes him worthy of the shield. The storyline with Isaiah is based a lot on the Tuskegee airmen and wrapping it with Sam's story from decades back (Sam dealing with the implications of being a black Cap) makes a lot of sense. There are still people decades after Sam took the shield in the comics that won't call him Cap. But yeah that being said, very political so it won't be for everyone and that is fair. This is by far the most political thing the MCU has done so it shouldn't be a big issue going forward

One of my favorite emotional parts of this show was the flashback where Bucky gained some sense of relief knowing he was finally free from HYDRA’s Winter Soldier programming. I give mad props to Sebastian Stan for his performance. I legit wanted to cry with him. I also have mad respect for Sam having a reasonable conversation with Karli. He’s one of those people who learns as he goes along. Perspective is definitely of his key qualities. He may not always have the answers, but he does listen. That’s clearly a huge contrast from what John was doing. He thinks Bucky has it easy with the serum, but Bucky himself never wanted that either. At least Lemar was being more reasonable. Also, while Sam would prefer to avoid conflict he’s also not scared to fight John if needed. Zemo has an extreme way of thinking, but we can agree that the serum is dangerous especially when whoever has it also has a dark mindset. Like Dr. Erskine said, good becomes great while bad becomes worse. They tested John’s speed, endurance, and IQ, but they forgot about his heart. That’s what Dr. Erskine banked on when he picked Steve. The US Government may have discarded John like a spent weapon, but they also weren’t like “Hey guess what: we don’t have super serum, but as soon as you find some you take it.” And Lemar’s sister wasn’t fooled. I didn’t notice it true first time, but when I rewatched it in Spanish with my family (who were watching it for the first time), my own sister picked up on that. It makes sense. Maybe they don’t have social media, but she undoubtedly has more access to current events and the footage itself doesn’t lie. Then we have the speech Sam gave to the GRC. Anthony Mackie practiced it over the phone for hours with the show’s creator and head writer Malcolm Spellman so they would make sure it was properly executed on scene. This leads up to Anthony Mackie having his own Captain America movie releasing next year called Brave New World. It was previously titled New World Order. We were actually supposed to be getting it this spring, but it’s been delayed due to a poor test screening. So they’re working on reshoots to deliver quality content for the next Valentine’s Day. In the meantime, Valentina also putting together her own team called the Thunderbolts with U.S. Agent joining the roster. More on that for another time, but we can expect their movie for May of next year. Now that the strikes are over, production is finally underway. In the meantime this is pretty much a given, but Ayo and the Dora Milaje will return in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

I think the line about power makes you more of who you are is a callback to the 1st Cap movie. Dr Erskine to Steve: “The serum amplifies everything that is inside. So, good becomes great. Bad becomes worse. This is why you were chosen. Not a perfect soldier, but a good man.” John Walker is a good guy but he doesn’t have the same compassion and heart that Steve Rogers had.

Lovely! Most of what I wanted to say has been said elsewhere here. You did miss the end credit scene in episode 5 which showed John building his own shield. My take on these three shows is that they each reflect the main characters perspectives, which are soooo different. Good luck with "Loki". I wanted to say it wouldn't be a bad thing if you inserted "Black Widow" before proceeding to "Loki" just to mix it up a bit.

So in the comics, John Walker DID take over as Cap for a brief stint. He later became U.S.Agent and led the West Coast Avengers for awhile. Bucky also was Cap for a while and as far as I know (I don't read the comics anymore), but Sam became the new Cap. Honestly, none of them are Steve Rogers and eventually Steve comes back to reclaim the shield. I'll respect your wishes and keep the politics out of it. On to Loki and the REAL start of the Multiverse Saga.

The idea that Thanos might’ve created a better world, and that his genocidal plan actually had a positive effect - I think that’s a VERY interesting concept. But I don’t think they did enough to make us see that point of view. It’s mentioned in a few lines here and there, but they mostly just come across as terrorists. It’s hard to sympathize with them. Civil War is a good example where the politics of the movie worked well with the story. That movie divided audiences (but in an enjoyable way). Some of us were Team Cap some of us were Team Tony. Because it was a well written narrative with fair points on both sides. I don’t think anyone was Team Karli when watching this show.

Point taken, Tony. I think they stuck that little scene of Bucky seeing Yori in the cafe smiling to show he had closure, but it didn't really indicate that Bucky was "of service" to him and not himself. as Sam had advised.

Falcon and the winter solider wasn’t one of my favorites there were good moments especially with the Dora. I didn’t care for the “politics” im also just here to enjoy and let you guys know cool little things I found out along the way when it comes to the shows and movies, definitely excited for you to check out Loki 1&2 for sure my fave right under Wandavision 💚

This was supposed to teach perspective... it didn't hit for a lot of people... I agree they didn't do a good job at what it was supposed to do... but for example, the founders of our country were terrorists from the perspective of the Crown. Also... if you don't like political takes, then Marvel isn't your thing... ESPECIALLY when you get into the X-Men. Marvel, Stan Lee, and comics in general were born out of teaching lessons like racism and perspective. With the details of the show, I think you missed a lot like Sharon being the power broker and at the end they changed the name of the show from Falcon and the Winter Soldier to Captain America and the Winter Soldier. Little things here and there.

Y'all completely missed the point on 2 fronts. First, Sam wasn't saying what Karli was doing was ok. He said that he saw where she was coming from but didn't agree with how she went about it. He obviously agreed with her being locked up but he wasn't trying to kill anyone. Second, Bucky told the old man about his son because from episode 1, that's what the man said he wanted. Closure on how his son died is what the old man said would give him peace. If your child died but no one would tell you how or why, wouldn't you want to find out for some symbolance of closure?

Btw, the different serums isn't what makes a super soldier a better fighter. All the serum does is give super strength, faster healing and higher pain tolerance. As a super soldier, you'd still have to learn better fighting skills and whatnot. That's why for example, John was getting beat up alot. The ppl he's fighting are just better skilled in martial arts/combat.

One thing I think Mr. O got wrong is that Bucky was making himself 'feel better.' as I did not see that at all. He had avoided telling those on his list because he knew it would cause them grief, but it also answered the questions they had about what happened to the ones they cared for. Closure can be a painful process. When he saw the old man again in the restaurant, his small smile was from the knowledge that the news about his son did not ruin him, it released him from a worse feeling, not knowing what happened. Bucky himself is a perfect example of how someone can be both good and bad, as Bucky he is a good man, unlike how he was as the Winter Soldier. He was a terrorist as the WS, yet he found redemption. Sam was trying to find a way to redeem Karli, much like his friend Bucky had done.

Probably because they draw attention to the fact that a black man has a bit of a harder time getting by in life. It's a pretty stupid thing to get caught up on, when it's a pretty real thing that happens, and also they literally spent maybe 10 minutes total through this entire series that talked about it. This series is like 6 hours long and people want to get caught up on the 3 small scenes that are mentioning racial biases.

This show is not perfect at all , so dont worry, if the die hard stans are going at u guys. Loki is better tho IMO so have fun watching it.

Clearly you didn’t catch the whole conversation about what Bucky was doing at the beginning. You kept saying Bucky was helping the people on his list. He wasn’t, as Sam stated, he was avenging to make Bucky feel better about the wrongs he did. When you are editing these, pay attention to what Bucky is told to do to really stop having the nightmares. To do the hard thing, it’s not to make Bucky feel better, but so the people he hurt can have closure. You can never truly start your healing process until you know the full truth. Because anywhere you have unknowns, your mind continuously fills in those gaps. So Bucky is telling the old man, his friend, the truth so he can eventually move past it even though it will most likely end their friendship. So I don’t know where you get that by telling the old man that he killed his son is Bucky being selfish. Him never telling the old man was being selfish 100%.

No they specifically said it was the trying to push Karli as this good person even though she’s committing terrorist acts. The only race thing they touched on that they didn’t like was Isiah saying “America would never let a black man be captain America, and no self respecting black man would want to” and all Mr. O said was it’s divisive, which it low key is. This show did not handle any of their political themes well and it was clear they were just trying to push an agenda rather than tell a good story. And ppl who use the excuse of its cause the pandemic storyline got removed like that would save it are wrong imo, that would’ve made it worse if Karli released a virus on a whole country and still tried to show her as a good person. The writers of this show should’ve took notes from The Watchmen HBO show on how to write a good show around race and political themes instead they took notes from shows on the CW.

Yeah I think he misinterpreted why Bucky chose to tell the old guy the truth about his son. He wasn’t at peace due to the fact that he didn’t know why his son was killed, he even cries about it in the first episode. Bucky chose to tell him the truth about what happened to give him closure. He was doing what Sam told him to do. He might have lost a good friend in the midst of telling him the truth but at least he did the right thing.

Loki is good but most of the content after that is a mixed bag. What would make an interesting conversation is you putting out a poll of what things you could SKIP. There are movies/tv shows coming up that are so bad that you will be watching them by yourself.

Sam not a punk he just believes he can do this shit without bloodshed. The new captain America fucked that up. So blame him. Same and Karly was getting along and he was getting through to her. She did feel bad after killing battlestar wtf. Look at her face. She didn’t try to kill him dude pay attention. Battlestar was literally tied up. They could have killed him then but instead they tied him up. Stop missing information because then yall will judge what’s going on and not know what was said.😂 I mean damn it’s not that deep but it’s deep. Sam literally saids “I agree with your fight, I just can’t get with how your fighting it” they was connecting. He said it was in his wheelhouse and that he did that for a living. Yall not listening. I think you guys were off your game with this show. Given your reaction to the political climate in the X-Men universe I was really looking forward to your reaction to this show. You seemed to enjoy the politics in most of those movies, also the Captain America movies have always had a political element to them. This show may have been more heavy handed and didn’t flow as well as the movies, but the politics were always there in the movies. While I am glad you had different opinions about this show than I did, full disclosure, it is in my top 3 favorite of the MCU live action shows so far and I loved how messy it was politically. Plus, Bucky is my 2nd favorite character after Loki, so I was biased because of that as well. I loved what they did with his character in this and only wish we would have gotten more of him. I feel that some of your opinions were unfounded, due to a lack of focus and not paying attention to what was actually happening in the show. That made it difficult at times to get thru your reaction. You missed or misinterpreted quite a bit. Not all of that was on you guys, this show has its problems, and is all over the place in some areas. However, you seemed to write off things quickly and then not fully pay attention when those things were explained. It just seemed like your focus was off with this one, no big deal it happens. The only opinion that truly bothered me was how Mr. O kept calling Bucky selfish when he told Yori the elderly gentleman about how his son died. Like others have said, it was selfish of Bucky NOT TO TELL HIM. Bucky should’ve never made friends with Yori, so in that regard, Bucky was being selfish. Bucky wanted a friend and felt a kinship with Yori due to them being so close in age, even if Bucky doesn’t look it, he is 106 years old. Plus, Bucky had probably convinced himself that looking after Yori was a better way to “make amends” In reality, nothing was ever going to be enough to make amends, except the truth. Idk, if you guys have ever lost a child, but take it from someone who has, not knowing the why or how they died can make you loose you mind. Bucky did right by telling Yori why and how his son was killed. Yori was not at peace or living a full life because he never got closure on his son’s death. Closure is everything when it comes to processing grief. As always thank you for all your hard work and don’t be afraid to step away from Marvel if you guys need a break from superheroes. Personally, I would rather a break, than have burnout effect your focus and reaction. *EDIT Add on: I did a couple of edits to this comment because I couldn’t find the right words in places, my apologies for getting emotional and personal. I meant no offense or disrespect. I truly appreciate the amazing work and time you guys put into this channel. I know you are parents and it is my pleasure to help support a family. Believe me when I say I know all about trying to make it with children. I’m going to start crying so I will end this super long comment with a thanks again and ✌️❤️😀

I do respect your feelings about the politics, not really wanting that as your preferred form of entertainment. The trouble is that Captain America is kind of hard to get away from this world's politics. I think one of the main things that you missed here was that during the blip, people were welcomed into the more developed countries from the poorer ones... and then when everyone came back, they were told "Thanks for helping us during the crisis, but you can now just get the hell out of here." On top of that, for the everyday people who were blipped, they were left without any ways of getting financial assistance. So, the rich and powerful were just... screwing everyone they could over. I don't think Sam was exactly on the Smashers' side, but he wasn't really on the GRC's side, either. If anything, he was desperately trying to get everyone to stop killing themselves and each other for five minutes so they could talk. As for a lot of the fights that happened in Riga, those really only spiraled out and escalated because Walker was going neurotic and barged in, screwing up everything Sam was trying to accomplish. And yeah, I do feel bad for Walker. He was put on a pedestal and then given an impossible task that was antithetical to the mantle of Captain America. And, heck, as a modern, American soldier, he has been through a lot in the name of America already... and he felt the pressure to succeed quickly... and that's what wrecked him in the end. So, I'm sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy this one as much. I really enjoy it, myself, but I'm not going to insist that you guys love everything that I do.

For someone who says he doesnt like politics, u are making a political assumption and declaration against Carli from the point of view of those in power, who are the real terrorists! Radicalism happens due to extreme oppression and dehumanization, like what Carli and her people are going through when half the world reappeared and displaced them. Maybe reflect on why you justified the new Cap murdering someone in public because his friend died, but dont have any sympathy or ability to see how what not just Carli but the Millions of people she is fighting for would be so "radical!" This is not my favorite show, but not because of the politics or the story, i think it makes sense and is really the only MCU show/movie to go into how half the world reappearing after 5 years would negatively impact most of those who didnt blip, i just prefer the more fantasy shows/movies. I also hate how they made man who was brainwashed and physically & mentally enslaved for 70 years have to jump through bureaucratic hoops to be pardoned for crimes he had no control over at the will of Hydra! Love yal reaction to everything so far, except this show and xmen, so yal are still worlds better than most reactors, cant wait for Loki!
