At this pace you guys might be able to catch up by next week's episode!

Jesse Lee

Daemon is off to grab a crabby patty.

Caraxes🐐DT

The intro shows the Targaryen family starting with Aegon then goes into the children and into who married who. Starts from Aegon and ends with showing stuff like viserys, rhaenyra, daemon etc. sometimes it shows house sigil but other times it shows stuff that’s important to the characters like with rhaenyra it shows the necklace daemon gives her. Hope o explained that ok lol

Flexorcist

Then you get to suffer like the rest of us for the first time, waiting every week then more than a year😅. Winter is coming

Vishnu Vatheriparambil Mohandas

Opening credits shows the Targaryen blood line going through the model of Valyria Viserys is making. First one shows the conqueror's crown with the scene of doom of Valyria representing Aegon the conqueror. The symbol then fills with blood because he is dead. Those symbols that doesn't fill up with blood indicates that person is alive. Blood then flows to Aegon's sister wives Rhaenys and Visenya. Visenya's line ends with Maegor. Rhaenys' line goes to Aenys and then to Jaehaerys (old king from the beginning of episode 1) and Alysanne. Then blood channels to several of their children. Out of which we see Baelon and Alyssa (parents of Viserys and Daemon) and Aemon Targaryen and Jocelyn Baratheon (parents of Rhaenys the queen who never was). Alyssa and Baelon's line then flows to Viserys and Daemon. Viserys and Aemma Arryn's line flows to Rhaenyra. Her symbol is that locket of valyrian steel necklace that Daemon gifted her in episode 1. Daemon's symbol is his dragon wing helmet. Viserys' symbol is his crown. Aemma Arryn's symbol fills with blood because she died in episode 1. Finally blood runs into the fire pit under Targaryen sigil. Fire and Blood. If you watch the intro of each episode you will see it updating according to new people being born and dead.

Couldn't have said it better! Great job! Lol

Vishnu Vatheriparambil Mohandas

Actually House Hightower you have seen in Game of thrones. The tower with a beacon burning on the top in Old Town next to Citadel. That's the castle of House Hightower. Their family is named after that tower. Citadel is under the governance of Lord of the Old Town, i.e. Lord Hightower. Maesters are loyal to them in a way.

Adrian Rhodes

That dragonriders is Larnor Valaryon and the dragon's name is Seasmoke

Vishnu Vatheriparambil Mohandas

Laenor Velaryon son of Corlys is riding Seasmoke. He's a Velaryon but he can still ride a dragon because his mother is a Targaryen. Rhaenys the queen who never was.

Caraxes🐐DT

Nah Hightowers was never actually seen in the game of thrones show but they were supposed to be in it because they are in the books still just like the Velaryons was supposed to be with stannis so they cut them both like they cut many characters sadly but yes we did see oldtown.

Vishnu Vatheriparambil Mohandas

I meant we have seen the castle of House Hightower in GoT in Old Town. But yeah the books do mention them. But show ignored them.

Jessica Houser

The Rhoynar are the ancient civilization from Essos and they occupied the Rhoyne River. Daemon beat the messenger in a fit of rage because he felt the letter stating Viserys was sending aid meant he saw him as incompetent and unable to win on his own. (Basic sibling rivalry with a psycho twist) Otto has the Hightower on his chest because the Hightower family seat resides there in Oldtown where it is located. If you remember from the histories and lore....they originated in the Reach. They are wealthy and proud bannerman for House Tyrell. Margery's mother was Alerie Hightower, she was a descendant of House Hightower. Also, the Crabfeeder is Craghas Drahar, a prince from Meereen. He has greyscale and wears a mask like the Son's of the Harpy. Thanks for the reaction! I'm sending prayers for your family during this difficult time. (Let's just say I can relate.) Love you guys!!

sam

Viserys hade a dragon he road balerion the black dread he was only able to ride him once because the dragon had gotten old and died soon after that

It’s Angie

I think that Otto should have at least told Viserys about the spies because like you said he sounded surprised. Also I know many people must have already told you guys this but you guys are so good at paying attention to details and analyzing certain things.

sam

Just to clarify Criston Cole is not dornish his family severed as stewards to house dondarrion also I don’t think viserys is weak I think he is naive their are moments of weakness but not weak overall

Vishnu Vatheriparambil Mohandas

Viserys' wife was not a Targaryen. She was an Arryn. But she was still Viserys' cousin. Because her mother was a Targaryen.

Vishnu Vatheriparambil Mohandas

They never said Otto has little birds. The guard said the kid is bringing information from White Worm. Which means those are the little birds belonging to White Worm. And maybe White Worm is helping Otto.

Dusty Hill

Not scabies, the Crabfeeder had greyscale.

Mike

Ottos problem wasn't having the spies or even knowing the info on Rhaenrya, he lost the trust of the king by sharing it. The hand's job is to protect the king/realm. The king's heir should be just as important to him. Sharing what he knew about her made it obvious it was for his own gain.

I❤️movies&tvshows

I think he may be Dornish. Fabian the actor who plays him said in interviews this week that he is the only person from Dorne. He talked about being Dornish and that they are looked down upon. Season 1 may not have explained it clearly or they changed it in the books, but he did an interview about it.

sam

Ah I think he might be of dornish decent

I❤️movies&tvshows

We do find out later exactly why Otto does that. Episode 9. A lot of questions you guys were asking today are answered in this Season. The show is just building the story right now. Think about where GOT was in episode 3 and 4. I love the fact that you guys ask these questions. It’s what makes your channel so interesting and different from everyone else. ❤️

I❤️movies&tvshows

Yes when Sam arrives in Oldtown. He looks at that tall building the Hightower.

I❤️movies&tvshows

I think something that was important about what Otto’s intentions are was his talk with Alicent. She says basically Would you have me raise my son to usurp the throne from his sister? Otto needed something on Rhaenyra to clear the way for Aegon to rule. His grandson on the Iron throne gives him a lot more power than being a second son who is Hand of the King. If Aegon was still a child when he was crowned then Otto would become Protecter of the Realm until Aegon turned 16. That is a much more powerful position. I believe that is what Otto was attempting to do by having Rhaenyra spied on. Viserys knew that and called him out on it in the bedroom. That’s why he said Otto wants his own blood on the throne instead of Rhaenyra.

Caraxes🐐DT

Ah ok my bad I thought you meant the family as well but yea hopefully hotd don’t do that with houses

Flexorcist

There is a popular theory that Rhaegar was told the secret which is why he named a lot of his sons Aegon including Jon. That secret might also be what the mad king meant about burn them all. But those are all theories

I❤️movies&tvshows

Such a great reaction! Can’t wait for 5 & 6❤️ I’m glad you guys handled that 4 year time jump so well. Other reactors really struggle with the time jumps but you guys are so good it was smooth sailing. There will be a more ahead they want to keep the story moving forward.

Jessica Houser

Daemon is a freaking Rockstar! He's my favorite character. Very calculated. The Crabfeeder and his men were hiding in the caves....where they had the upper hand. He drew them out...great strategy! Rhaenys Targaryen(the Queen who never was), Viserys' cousin, was half Baratheon. Her parents were Prince Aemon Targaryen and Lady Jocelyn Baratheon. I found it interesting and almost funny how Robert Baratheon was so hell bent on killing all Targaryens but his grandmother was Rhaelle Targaryen. It's just a testament to how quickly things can change and how the line of succession is so blurry. You will understand more as it goes along and how everyone is basically related.

Adrian Rhodes

The thing about Rhaenyra is she's an expert gaslighter lol She didn't lie to Allicent BUUUUUUT she didn't tell the whole truth, either.

StephL

The guy riding the dragon in episode 3 was Laenor Velaryon Lord Corlys’ son. He was arguing with uncle and called him Master of complaints lol. And his dragon is named Sea smoke :)

Shut Up Meg

Daemon knew otto had spies in the brothel from when he said the heir for a day comment and otto gave him word. He knew if he brought her there they would probably get caught and his brother would most likely find out and be forced to we them. it just didnt go as planned lol. He was also trying to expose otto for being a spy and only looking out for himself so he at least got that part of the plan lol

NF

Daemon intended for him and Rhaenyra to be caught, that is why he snatched her disguise off as soon as they entered the brothel. His plan was to ruin Rhaenyra’s reputation so Viserys would feel forced to marry them.

Hailey ✨

Fire and blood is definitely coming 🔥

Chris

You don't want to be king, you want to be the brother of the king, all the power and none of the responsibility.

Ljh

Fun fact. The song the musician was playing is about Nymeria. He got cut off before the story got told. HBO is currently developing "10,000 Ships" the story of Nymeria. Should be another good one. Lots of history in this world which is awesome.

Ljh

Daemon is a wildcard. Most interesting character. George RR Martin's favorite character.

Chris

Sir Criston's job might suck, but I'd take three hots and a cot in the castle, standing outside the princess' door all night over being a mud grubbing dirt farmer or toothless beggar in Fleabottom any day of the week.

Christian

Fun little fan theory here is when you listen closely when Rhaenyra and Alicent meet by the godswood in episode 4 you can hear a raven cawing, could be absolutely nothing but they did intentionally make that audible and some people think it's going to be some sort of connection to Bran possibly listening in. No idea why but maybe its a hint to something later, they added the whole prince that was promised and dagger to this story to connect to Game of Thrones for some reason because it's not in the book so just adds to the theory.

xris037

a "hart" is a stag, a male deer.

David Richardson

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandparent, my thoughts are with you and your family. All my best wishes to you.

Hailey ✨

I don’t know if someone said this already but the term “second son” is like you “will never inherit” cause the only way they do is if the heir and their children all die. There’s a group in Essos in GOT called the “Second sons” that’s a sell sword company. You hear it a few times in GOT and it’s a coined phrase just meaning someone who needs to make their way in the world and take power, not inherit it. I believe Corlys refers to himself as a second son even though he is the lord of Driftmark because his Targaryen cousins came to rule Westeros even though both of their families come from Old Valyria. Otto could be seen as a second son as well, since his brother is the warden of the south and lord of old town (Hightower), he had to make his power by becoming hand of the king to Jaehaerys after Viserys’ brother died, then became hand to Viserys himself. Hope this helps!

mgamer327 .

i wish i knew what you are talking about here. sounds like i need to know that lil tidbit of info. (googling lol) i love all angles & theories!

mgamer327 .

i friggin love Daemon! he's what kept me watching the series. i was bored as shit thinking it's just a ton of family drama (+ has some dragons). but it picks up a bit. guess i was too spoiled from GOT.

Jessica Houser

You just can't get better than Daemon! I can only imagine he'll get better as season 2 moves along. I too was a bit spoiled from GOT. LOL

ShittyShittyGameGang

It's gonna b real interesting to hear what team yall side with by the end. Also the choice Vis was given wasn't wife or son it was lose both or save the son.

Flexorcist

Absolutely interesting. I suggest you do that. It is heavily implied in the books. Rheagar spent a lot of time in the citadel researching. Maester Aemon mustve known as well since he told Sam in the books that he thought Rhaegar was the prince who was promised.

Jim Schmitz

Out in the cold again 😪
