Phuuuuuck! I’m at work right now…. Oh well, I hope no one walks into my office, bc The Octobers are getting ALL my attention!

I'm just south of Houston where Hurricane Beryl hit. Mass destruction and I haven't had power or internet for days. Finally got power back, thank God, and things are starting to get back to normal. So glad to catch up with you guys and watch some DD and get back to normal. Man, what a weird week. First a hurricane, loss of electricity, then Trump gets shot....July has been a weird month so far. I just want to get to some MoonKnight and Fantastic Four action now!

Update: My boss came in and it took me a min to press pause. She was like, “Are you in a zoom meeting?” 🤣🤣🤣

RegTravels

Can’t wait for Moon Knight!!!

If you want a random movie, I HIGHLY recommend The Warriors (1979). A cult classic that is one of my favorite movies of all time. Off the top of my head, you could also check out First Blood (1982) which is a masterpiece or Silence of the Lambs (1991) another masterpiece thriller movie.

Ooo this isn't the first time Mrs. O has mentioned Cyberpunk. Did you know Netflix has a 10 episode Mini series call Cyberpunk Edge runners? yall might like it! The soundtrack is dope.

What Kingpin does for the city is control crime. He sends the bad people to a part of the city to lower the value, then buys it out and builds condos. That's what he's doing at Elena's place. I forget the word for it.

All for The Warriors and First Blood, Sly's moment at the end always gets.

One thing they changed about Daredevil from the comics is his ability to read. Matt didn't read braille in the comics. His sense of touch was so good he could actually feel the ink on the paper with his fingers. Have you two ever seen the movie Full Metal Jacket? Kingpin is the actor that went crazy during boot camp and shot himself in the bathroom. It's awesome going on this journey with you. I hope you both end up watching the other Marvel series eventually. Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Punisher. I know you guys will love Punisher from your reaction to Daredevil! Can't wait for the next one!

Daredevil will have a new series called Daredevil: Born Again on D+ sometime next year. Daredevil does pop up in She-Hulk. Before you watch the 3rd season of DD you will need to watch The Defenders. It teams DD, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. So I think you need to watch their individual 1st seasons of their shows before Defenders. Then the 3rd season of DD. The other Defenders will eventually pop up in future MCU movies and shows.

We usually try and not tip them off to what characters 'pop up' in other shows, it's kind of spoiler.

Since y'all brought up bats and "didn't realize they have eyes," I'd like to take this opportunity to share a few bat facts :D - Bats are adorable, and some folks in the ecological sciences community, myself included, lovingly refer to them as the puppies of the sky. Unfortunately, I can't share pictures on these posts, but I will post one to the chat soon as proof of their adorable-ness. - Although bats have eyes, their vision is not very good, hence the phrase "blind as a bat." -Ecologists have marveled at bats' agility in flight, finding it astonishing that they are able to successfully navigate around objects while flying. Bats can fly relatively fast and turn on a dime, despite having extremely poor eyesight, thanks to their ability to sense objects via echolocation. However, it was recently discovered that their "agility" and echolocation aren't so great with moving objects, and bats are basically running into things ALL THE TIME while they are flying, including each other (HAHA). Hope you've enjoyed these bat facts! :D

There is a theory in John Wick 4 about something like that. No spoilers. The guy is not Daredevil and reading normal print for a regular person is just dumb.

It always seemed like Matt's powers came from the chemicals. Perhaps Stick can do some of it, but not hear across the whole city? Superman can hear across the world. That might explain it? Any opinions out there?

Has there ever been a girl in these shows who was not almost killed but still claimed she could take care of herself? It gets annoying.
