Started watching y’all not long ago for GOT and turned into house of the dragon too, and now stranger things. Sad hotd is over, but excited for all that is to come still of your content!!

Jesse Lee

I'm loving the drama this episode stirred up. Hasn't been so much buzz since the way season 8 ended for GoT.

Serenity La’sandra

I’m ngl.. I rejoiced when aegon mentioned what happened to his yk.. lmao. He was assaulting girls (dyana for example) I was like GOOD! For all the girls you traumatized, I yelled HA 😭 call me evil but I do not feel bad for him. Yes he’s struggling, and at times do feel bad for him.. but for that.. I was like.. you get what you deserve 🤣 that part couldn’t have happened to a more deserving person, to me anyways.

Brandon Tracy-Hurst

This episode felt like an episode 8 of a 10 episode season. Great episode, awful finale.

Jesse Lee

My nickname for Jace is "Rat Boy Summer" because this summer apparently is all about hot dudes who look like rodents 😆

Chris

Shogun! Shogun!

Hitmon

I heard Lothar is a popular YouTuber. Who knows. Maybe next season the October's will be in HOTD.

Jesse Lee

This episode is 9/10 People are pissed because the next episode is in 2 years and not next week.

sam

This season for me personally was bad the show runners hade ruined some big moments that had happened in the book This season, there was a lot of filler and hardly any character development especially the back half of this season next season I hope they get it together

Tyrone Bigguns

Agree with Sam - it has been awful slow and plodding for the last 4 episodes. If this finale had some big battle at the end it would have tied it all together and made the last few episodes serve their role as table setters. But it was just more of the same. Also - season one ends with "we are on the verge of war" and season two ends with "we are on the verge of war". They really should have moved the story along more.

Richard B

Daemons story this season seemed like a HOTD version of John Lennon's lost weekend.

Jim Schmitz

Netflix just announced season 2 of Squid Games in Dec. Something short to fill a gap. Poll it. I'd love to give you something to enjoy.

Daniel

They really drag this out. Season 1 wraps up within 25-30 pages in the books. The way the books are written they make this much bigger and I don't know if I like it. Still, some of these actors and actress are so freaking good. Team Simon Strong!

Chaz D

You think it was a tunnel? What does that mean? lol Dragonstone is right accross the bay from Kings Landing. Ulf flew over Kings Landing to bait Aemond into following him to Dragonstone

Katie Thomas

Daemon at the end of season 1: bows to Rhaenyra Daemon at the end of season 2: bows to Rhaenyra, but this time because magic told him to! 😞

Katie Thomas

All of the brilliant scene work and acting in the world can’t change bad writing. They’ve turned my favorite story from the world of ASOIAF into a fan fic

Katie Thomas

If it weren’t for the fact that he’s actually very intelligent, I’d say he was more of a himbo

Tyrone Bigguns

I got the feeling it was more of a goofy joyride over his hometown to showoff than a plan to lure Aemond... because Aemond *did* follow, and team black just looked at him. If the plan was to bait him so they could attack, why didn't they?

Belmiro

Watch Chernobyl; it's a miniseries that only has 5 episodes.

Flexorcist

The showrunners wanted 10 episodes but Warner Bros with all its financial difficulties only agreed to give them budget for 8. So they decided to move the battles to s3 instead of giving a half baked one.

ShittyShittyGameGang

Hearing that Stark theme got me pumped tho, the music at the end was so kool.

sam

Okay but their some battles in this season that they didn’t Evan show

Christian

Very true but thats bad planning imo, it's a problem that wont exist later but its annoying now. It just made this season a teaser trailer for season 3 and not a stand alone chapter of a story

Christian

The problem isn't we need battles to be entertained, it's that it feels like there was no pay off for any of the tension built up for 2 months. We got blue balled big time lol they skipped and pushed multiple battles out of order as well. IMO season 2 is inevitably gonna be viewed as the weakest by a mile even tho the episodes are all mostly great, it just lacked some substance. Season 3 is going to be total chaos because all these battles have to happen right now, they cant push stuff anymore

TC24

It was definitely bait, Rhaenyra said I had hoped these riders would be a deterrent, she wanted to show aemond if you fight you will most likely die so surrender. You have to ride your dragon after claiming it to solidify the bond so Rhaenyra used it to her advantage to bait him.

Kim Ronny Nilsen

Peaky blinders is a good one, 36 episodes. Band of brothers, Harry Potter. Sons of anarchy is a great one

Amy Donelson

again, because of budget. unfortunate but they had to cut a lot of stuff.

Christian

Loved the first 2 seasons then it fell off imo but man that first season was epic

Peter K

Two short but great series from HBO. First, Rome, 2 seasons great historical fiction about Julius Caesar (aka Mance Rayder from GOT) Second, Deadwood, 3 seasons and a follow up movie, more historical fiction about the gold rush in the Dakota territory. Most realistic 'western' I've ever seen, great characters and story, definitely worth watching.

Chaz D

Na, they were def baiting Aemond. Not necessarily to attack him, but Rhaenyra wanted him to know that she has more riders in hopes that it would get them to surrender.

Chaz D

I’m still confused what she meant by she thinks it was a tunnel? lol you watch him fly over Kings Landing and then straight back to Dragonstone. Idk, maybe Mrs. October didn’t know that Dragonstone is so close to Kings Landing or something.

Kale

It breaks my heart to call this a short show... but I would love it if you two watched Firefly!

LLCoolT

What’s crazy is when I’m re-watching GOT, the first 3 seasons are pretty slow comparatively (up till the RW)…it was a lot of strategy and politicking. Still entertaining, but nowhere near the blockbuster action of the later season, which ironically are panned as being the worst.

LLCoolT

I personally loved this season, I don’t need explosions and battles to find the story entertaining (just my opinion.) Wasn’t the greatest, but I can see the vision they’re creating. When I rewatch the episodes, I pick up on little things and Easter eggs that I appreciate. Major difference between GOT and HOTD logistically is all the dragons. Those are really really expensive and time consuming. I have to cut them some slack because I know they were under budget and time constraints (booooo to HBO for that). The writers strike didn’t help either. Next year, we get to go back to Westeros in a new show, Knight of the 7 Kingdoms, so that should tide us over until til HOTD S3. Great reaction guys!!!

Christian

Yeah they became dependent on action because they could not write a story as good as George so then the action had less pay off or meaning. The brilliance of early thrones was we had a whole season of incredible politics and great dialogue pushing a story but the season would end with some action event to cap off that story that had been building (Ned, blackwater, red wedding, the wall). HOTD just kept building with no capstone to ignite the next part of the story, at least not as well as I'd hoped. Its like a run on sentence now, There isn't an obvious change in where season 1 ended and where season 2 ended. It's still just war is coming and I think they could've escalated the tension a bit more.

TheOctobers

what you said i wasn't realizing how close they were bc I thought he was in the tunnel and it was connected or something

Julia Miala

I liked this episode eventhough i do think it didn’t deliver enough as the finale of a season. And Rhaenyra and Alicent’s scene was also really absurd to me especially Alicent agreeing to the execution of her son eventhough she literally forced him on the throne bc of supposed danger that he would be in if Nyra became queen, which he didn’t even want in the first place. But oh well, it was well acted but very poor writing imo, and Alicent saying ‘come with me’ to Nyra was my final straw🤦‍♀️
