Well, I was about to go to bed, but I got the notification and here we are.

Jonny

Yup about to take this in. One of my favourite movies. And the series is amazing. I hope one day the series wins a poll.

Jesse Lee

Would you be mad if I ate your livers with some fava beans and a nice chianti? 🤣

hashpipe

the actor you thought was papa is Anthony Heald, his son and I went to boarding school together

Jim Schmitz

should consider a Sauvignon Blanc instead...

Jim Schmitz

Shout out to Anthony Hopkins (MCU's Odin), who makes every second on screen a joy to watch.

Jonny

So there is a series named Hannibal which is very good as I mentioned. The villains are so good in that and the serial killers are extremely sadistic.

Harvey

Could be a good way to get into Mads Mikkelsen then they can watch the hunt, another round, riders of justice, pusher and bleeder. Cause they’re all elite Scandinavian films

Harvey

Just finished the film and I 100% agree with Brooke on psychological thrillers here are some amazing ones; Zodiac - serial killer and Tony’s “favourite” actor Mystic river Prisoners - serial killer and Tony’s “favourite” actor Seven - serial killer Shutter island The invitation American psycho - serial killer Misery - serial killer Coherence Drive Panic room - also Jodie foster Nightcrawler - Tony’s “favourite” actor The menu Uncut gems Pig Dead man’s shoes Hereditary The game Donnie Darko - Tony’s “favourite actor” Writing this im realising how many great psychological thrillers Jake Gylenhaal is in Foreign psychological thrillers; Parasite Cure - serial killer The hunt Battle Royale The vanishing - serial killer Cell 211 Run Lola run Angst - serial killer The laughing woman - serial killer Be my cat: a film for Anne Hathaway - serial killer

DarrellWaller

If you liked this one, then I highly recommend you watch the Jessica Jones series. The villan (Killgrave) is the MCU's version of Hannibal Lector. It's pretty dark, grim and gritty like Daredevil. It's a pschiological thriller.

Peter K

Nice play Darrell, and honestly, that first season of Jessica Jones was one of the best of all the Netflix Marvel shows.

Steven Jump

There is 1 sequel and 2 prequels to Silence of the Lambs and all based on books from the same author. Hannibal is the sequel. A victim of Lector is out for revenge and uses Hannibal's affection for Clarice to find him. Anthony Hopkins returns but Jodie Foster declined to return. Clarice is now played by Julianne Moore. The next movie is a prequel set before Silence called Red Dragon. The FBI agent who caught Lector seeks his help will another killer. Hopkins returns and the FBI agent is played by Edward Norton. The killer is played by Ralph Fiennes. The last movie tells about how and why he became Hannibal The Cannibal. Lector is played by a young actor since it's about his origins. All are very good and worthy sequels. There was also a series called Hannibal, but I had no interest in it.

hashpipe

bro this is a full paragraph of spoilers, delete this please

Steven Jump

I didn't spoil anything. Telling them about who's in it and basic plot with no specifics is not a spoiler!!

chris z

amazing movie, and yea, definitely do mindhuter, or the Hannibal tv show.

Robert Nelson

Papa was played by the guy who played Joker in Full Metal Jacket (awesome film). I forget his name.

hashpipe

I wasn't talking about them, you are spoiling it for me. I want to go into these reactions with zero knowledge on what we are watching if I can help it. I don't want to be scrolling comments and see cliffnotes to movies im excited to watch with the octobers for the first time.

Reaction Junkie

Omg Hannibal is probably one of the best series I have ever watched. I wish it was on more people's radar haha

Reaction Junkie

fr I started reading this and was blown away someone could be this careless lol & yes it is spoiling! Does he not know what a blind reaction is?

Peter K

Unless I missed a comment from you guys, it looks like you never realized that Lecter was someone you knew from a few movies. He also played Odin in the Thor movies. And a really good Jody Foster movie to consider, Contact. Its about first contact with aliens, and the way they do it is very original.

Chase Schleich

The sequel is Hannibal (2001) and then there's the prequel with Ed Norton (the Hulk from Marvel) called Red Dragon (2002). Anthony Hopkins plays Hannibal Lecter in both those films. Surprised you didn't recognize Hopkins. He's Odin, Thor's dad in the Marvel films. As for Mindhunter, it and the Hannibal/Silence of the Lambs/Red Dragon films are all based off the career of the same FBI profiler John Douglas which is why they seem so similar.

Chase Schleich

Still waiting on them to get to Daredevil season 2 and then the rest of the Netflix shows.

TheOctobers

thanks for this AMAZING list and also letting us know which one Tony's boy Jake is in lol

TheOctobers

yeah I cannot believe we didn't realize it was Odin!

J-rad

I’ll second the nomination for watching Contact. The director of Contact is the same director that did Forrest Gump, Back To The Future and other stuff

Kelsey

So the actor who played paolo in the Lizzie McGuire movie is pretty famous. I think the acting was meant to be cheesy. He had a significant role in pretty little liars as a cop for awhile and was pretty good.

Ryan Evans

Hey guys I know another good cannibal movie it’s called the hills have eyes there good movies
