Woo Hoo! Been waiting for this one! Edit: Now that i watched the reaction, I want to say that Tony watching Brooke's reaction was fun. It looked like the same kind of fun all of us have watching both of you seeing something new to you. They do answer a lot of your questions in the next two movies. It was cute that Brooke paused it several times to ask a question, and she was always just a scene of two away from how the question got answered by the movie. You did good Tony, you did not spill the beans at all, it was good to let the Mrs. figure it out on her own. Finally, Neo is an anagram of one, but it also means 'new,' and that is relevant.

Omg it’s my off day, watching right the gym. can’t wait! 🫰🏼

One of the best movies ever made. The coolest movie ever made. Glad you are doing the whole trilogy, the sequels are very underrated.

Peter K

I'd like them to do the 4th too, I had my doubts that they could do it, but they found an interesting way to go beyond the third movie. I think it too was underrated.

Rob Krčmi

Oh, I forgot about the 4th one. That was just garbage.

If you all want to understand more of the Matrix world and how it came to be, you should watch “ The Animatrix”. It’s a collection of short, animated stories. “The Matrix Reloaded” directly references one of the short stories in it.

Peter K

I disagree, it twisted the premise into something different that was originally hinted at in this movie. I'd like them to watch it and see what they think, they should be able to form their own opinion.

o.o

i really dont like part 2 and 3, but 1 still stands strong.

Christian

They are nowhere near as good as this one but I think they can still be entertaining and they go deeper on the message of the franchise

Michael Shelton

I think this is the first time I have watched this movie and realized with neo. Gets in the car with trinity and switch pulls the gun on him... she calls him copper top. As in duracell, battery because until they free him, he's still just a battery for the machines. I've watched this movie. I don't know how many times and have never noticed that connection

Michael Shelton

Given your comments after the movie, I really can't wait till you see the 4th movie in the series (that's not counting the anime movie)

Michael Shelton

The oracle gets explained more in the second movie

Flexorcist

Now i am older, its clear to me as day that the Matrix has a very strong religious undertone. Especially Christianity.

Christian

I was trying to figure that out lol I had never heard that either and couldn't make sense of it until you explained it.

Jim Schmitz

Thought-provoking, isn't it? I marvel at the cinematography every time. Love the discussion Brony had. Perhaps the "Oracle" represents a next step evolved human born from the experience of the Matrix. The concept of 'simulation' is explored in part of the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" series.

"checking our online portfolio" sent me 😭

I remember how having those green codes as a computer background/screen saver was the coolest thing back when this came out. 😆 And I know these movies were/are iconic for the fight scenes with all their special effects, but for me, the Bourne trilogy is far superior. I LOVE the Bourne movies! and if you haven't seen them, you really should consider them for a reactions (just the once with Matt Damon.) The fight scenes and the car chases in those movies are just... 🤩 - Karl Urban (Eomer in LotR & Butcher in The Boys) is the main antagonist in the second Bourne movie. As far as The Matrix goes, I've seen the first two, but I could not tell you a single thing about the second movie. And oh my is the movie score for this one a complete mess. It's so bad and disjointed it's actually a distraction for me. 🙈 So though this movie is iconic for what it did with special effects and it's concept, I just won't ever be a fan.

Betwixt Tales

Regarding your theorizing/pondering at the end. I simply see it as a symbol of the time we're living in when you speculate about us being in a simulation. Speculations and theorizing about life have always been a sign of the time that the people live in. We're only talking about living in a simulation and AI now because we're living through a rapid development of computer science. In the beginning of time, humans philosophize about nature and it's power, and how it was related their life, because that was the time they were living in. Then that became speculations about gods, and so on, and so on. We don't know, how much we don't know. We didn't know about dinosaurs until 1824, and then they weren't actually named Dinosaurs until 1841. Before that, people believed it was remains of dragons. Who knows what will be discovered and philosophize about a thousand years from now. Personally, I'm far more fascinated by the speculation that somewhere, out in space, there's a planet of beings, living their lives -having developed technologies and communications- speculating about that somewhere, out in space, there's another planet of living beings. And we will never actually know or get proof that we are all living beings in the same endlessness universe. We simply do not know, what we don't know.

There are two types of people in this world. Those which think oatmeal cookies are the best and those who are wrong

Eddie

Y'all know there are 4 Matrix Movies. The newest one came out in 2021 called The Matrix Resurrections

KingHarrison

one thing ive never seen anyone in my life ever notice is that neo is an anagram of one... simple yet overlooked by all

Rob J

Hey Mr October I believe the movie scene you were referring to regarding that ominous ‘90s event was from a film actually titled basketball diaries with Leo DiCaprio …I think this film post dated that …I’m not %100 on that though but it was a few years after I graduated and I hadn’t even thought of any of that or that movie since back then … love the channel folks, ona good note !

Adam Ramirez

Dude, nobody ever likes oatmeal cookies! I'm always the only one!

Frank Garcia

The scene with the deja vu and mouse getting killed always scared me as a kid cause I was already confused by the movie then they start saying all that crazy stuff and dude gets blasted lol

Matthew Paul

Welcome to the real world, Michael.
