This is a nice companion piece. Since it contains unfinished effects and rehearsal footage, it might seem wonky, but it's giving lovers of the first film a glimpse of what might've been. You really should watch the documentary SUPER/MAN: THE CHRISTOPHER REEVE STORY (2024) to learn more of Christopher Reeve and the remarkable career he had, even after his accident, with advocacy, etc.

Not gonna lie, that comment about LOTR extended version hurt my heart a little bit... I still love yall tho

RIP to the Superman, Mr. Reeve…after this you go to straight to Superman Returns(2006). I think everyone will agree skip 3&4, you won’t miss anything when you watch Returns they basically retconned em in that movie as if they don’t exist.

I have never seen this version of the 2nd film. There were several scenes I was waiting to see that didn't happen. Like the "big reveal" was different. side note .. I always wondered how could the snake bite through her skin if she is bullet proof like Superman? I do like that scene regardless. Christopher Reeves holds a special place in my heart & childhood as Superman. Henry Cavill to me IS Superman ... and The Witcher. Sure other actors will play those characters and that is fine. Thank you for the reaction.

Tony has Christopher Reeve eyes without his glasses. He must secretly be SUPERREACTOR. And, of course, time turning saves the day. 🦸‍♂️

Gene Hackman has a long and distinguished career, with many acclaimed performances. You might enjoy "Get Shorty" or "The Birdcage".

Michael Shelton

For me as well, but only because a lot of the scenes they thought were from the extended, were actually the theatrical release scenes.

Michael Shelton

I agree, you should at least watch 3 and 4 on your own. But I would do it after you get through Returns. Otherwise, it will get a little confusing, as Returns retcons the story as if 3 and 4 did not exist

TheOctobers

we were saying as first time viewers, not that we didn't love those films bc they are our favorites.

RegTravels

I can understand that. Yall reference them sometimes in other videos, I know you love them haha

Martin Long

Love Gene Hackman. He was brilliant. R.I.P. ❤️
