Talk about prescient, the original take on this story came out in 1939, which inspired Isaac Asimov to continue and refine it in the '50s, adding the 3 Laws. He then wrote many books expanding the robot/human interlink, I've always hoped those would be adapted into movies. When this one came out, I felt hopeful for more. You, non-robots made many great points.

I completely agree with your assessment of technology. I try to keep it to a minimum....I'm always the one who says "We don't need that." when my family gets excited about something new. It actually saddens me that things are so automated for my kids. I was an adult before cell phones came out so everything we did as kids was a new wondrous experience. Now I suggest things to my kids and they've "seen it online". I also believe people aren't as intelligent as they used to be. If I needed an answer to something as a kid....I had to read about it, learn about it. Encyclopedias, textbooks. Now with a few clicks on Google my son has an entire essay written by AI. I hate it. Technology makes people lazy and unmotivated. About 10 years ago I had to get rid of my internet for a couple of years. It was expensive and we couldn't afford it. I swear to you....it's the happiest I've been since childhood. That said....there are benefits to technology....but you gotta take the good with the bad I guess. Now, I do like this movie and it's interesting. Also, Megan is a great robot movie, with a sequel this year....and I enjoyed Wild Robot for an animated robot film. Both would be great reactions. Converse are called Chucks or Chuck Taylors because Charles "Chuck" Taylor was a player and coach for the company's industrial basketball team, the “Converse All-Stars,” and its also the name of a style of sneakers he helped redesign. The company thought so much of his contributions, it added his name to the ankle patch in 1932. My oldest son is a skater and only wears Chucks or Vans so he tells me random facts about it. He's 25. Also, Will Smith has some amazing movies....I'm not sure he's ever made a bad one.? His movies are definitely worth a watch....and maybe some are on your 250 list as well. Fun fact....Bridget Moynahan, who plays Calvin, is Tom Brady's oldest son's mother. I'm just a big ball of useless information. Lol

I don't believe cellphones are the problem. It is clearly social media. It has changed the world. We didn't have these issues until social media evolved. Tic too and Twitter was the beginning of our downfall.

I think more people these days are in their cell phones. Noone just talk to each other in person. Meet up. It's all on snapchat, IG, fb etc. Back then we could just go outside and use our imagination and play games without a cell phone, tablet, etc.
