Finally got a Zack Snyder movie under our belt, and it was SO GOOD!

Recommend more like this!

PS AOT Will be up ASAP either today or tomorrow, we had some issues with the file on that and have to do some serious editing on it to make it watchable. Sorry for the wait!

Oh hell yeah man you guys gotta check out Watchmen and Man Of Steel. These movies are more on the gritty side of Superhero movies. A great pallet cleanse from the Marvel Universe !

I think Mr. O would love Watchmen and Mrs. O it gets a little gutsy and bloody and dark but I think you will like the story telling and characters. Man Of Steel is Zach’s version of Superman and I really think you guys would enjoy that as an added DC classic to your library ! P.S. My bad yall lol Kick Ass is a much watch like frfr my finally recommendation

Johnny's right if you want more Snyder you guys have seen enough hero content to appreciate the Watchmen! Definitely a different vibe from the MCU and a Snyder classic. I wouldn't watch Man of Steel YET unless you're ready to start watching the DC Extended Universe which is 16 movies! :)

Easily one of my favorite movies. BTW 300 and Sin City are both Frank Miller Graphic Novels. Thats why they look similar art style wise.

Great reaction! Most reactors to this film I've seen don't actually pick up on the fact that the line "may you live forever" is an insult.

Dilios the guy with one eye that King Leonidas sent back is Faramir Boromirs brother from Lord of the Rings. That is Magneto he was the one who threw the spear to start the battle 🤙

Snyder's best movie is Watchmen, but this one is not too bad. But I will say, where Sparta is on the Peloponnese peninsula, it never snows. Being a Greek I am highly critical of movies made about our history, and this one is a little over the top...in a Hollywood kind of way. If you ever watch Troy, please realize they butchered the story so that Brad Pitt got more screen time. Just an FYI, and I'll insert another plug for you two to watch The Godfather, it is #2 on your top 250 list...and as far as cinema goes, it is a masterclass in story telling. As far as the real history goes, the Spartans and a couple of thousand other Greeks (not usually mentioned in the history) held off an army of 100K for a few days. They may have lost that battle, but because of the delay, the rest of the Greeks were ready when they moved beyond Thermopylae. That was indeed Magneto (Michael Fassbender ). The movie is a masterpiece IMO. There is a bit of controversy in that while it's loosely based on historical events the Persians were portrayed as literal monsters, even more so than in the comic (which was in turn based on an older movie). You guys might already know this but there is a sequel that is nowhere near as good: 300: Rise of an Empire.

This was the pinnacle of Zack Snyder's work. He did a good remake of Dawn of the Dead and a couple decent superhero movies (Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman), but he's a famously bad writer. His visual style is second to none, but the dude is not a good writer and it hurts a lot of his movies, especially his most recent stuff over the last 10 years.

Y’all need to watch The Woman King. It’s so underrated, but deserves a spot alongside this, Gladiator, and Braveheart. It’s an amazing warrior story. And unique.

There are several subtleties like that and it’s weirdly rewarding when others actually pick up on it. Like, way too many people didn’t understand the significance of slicing his face- they thought Leonides had missed.

Ok, I love superhero stuff and I tried to like Watchmen, but it never clicked with me. Even with Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s performance to spice it up. But it’s still one of those ‘should see’ films from a culturally artistic perspective.
