I enjoyed rewatching this movie more than I thought I would 🤯 I saw it in the theater on a date with my boyfriend and I was not impressed. I have to admit I enjoyed it this time just for the 80’s movie date nostalgia. My girlfriends and I used “I ain’t got time to bleed” for about ten years afterward. Yes, it meant what you think it meant. Get to da choppa! 💪🏻

There is a whole planet full of predators think of them as a warrior race going on hunts and bringing back trophies is like a ranking system for them they have an Honor code that's why he took his mask off and dropped his weapon because he saw Arnold as worthy. As for Billy he's Native American and he was the first one on the team to sense they were bring followed his 6th sense. After Hawkins made the echo joke and laughed the predator mimicked his laugh and Billy heard it faintly. You are right he blew himself up to get rid of his existence and technology. There is so much more lore behind the predators.

Btw the one shaking Arnold’s hand is Carl Weathers. He’s in a lot of iconic movies and shows like Action Jackson, The Rocky Franchise, Happy Gilmore, The Mandalorian, In The Heat Of The Night, Arrested Development, Toy Story 4 and the list goes on. He passed away last year, a true legend.

One of my top tier action movies. In the time of movie censorship my friend got uncut VHS copy of a copy of this and we watched it in secret, lol. Two govenors in one movie. Fun fact: jungle shooting was done with live ammunition. Predator 2 worth watching, more lore. Someone tested thermal vision against mud and it worked. This never gets old.

You ought to add the other film that Arnold did with James Cameron, True Lies. Comedy action flick that is wholly absurd, but freaking hilarious. Must see 80s action flicks: Die Hards Lethal Weapons Rambos

Would be a great series if you finish all these Predator movies and then do the Alien movies and follow them both up watching the 2 Alien vs Predator movies. Maybe could even alternate a predator and then Alien movie along the way or something. Both franchises are classics with loads of love. They are not related in anyway tho so dont think this movie ties into the alien movies at all, they just did the 2 AvP movies for fun basically. I think I like the Alien movies more because the narrative is just fascinating to me, especially with the Prometheus and alien covenant prequels.

The cast of this movie is crazy. Arnold, Bill Duke, Carl Weathers (RIP), Jesse Ventura, lol. It also has some of Arnold's best one-liners. Get to the da choppa! What are waiting for!? Do it!? Come on, kill me! Do it now! If it bleeds, we can kill it. Also the handshake meme scene lol.

So the mud masking the heat vision thing is a real deal. There's a YouTube channel building. It's dedicated to, I'm testing weird military stuff like that, and they sent a guy into a patch of woods gave him like an hour or something to hide, and he was only covered in mud, and with a team of guys using heat vision, they could not find him. Until they let loose dogs to sniff him out. They also recreated the exact shot of the heat vision on Arnold in the root wad covered in mud, and it worked in that situation as well. I was surprised as well that it worked as well as it did.
