Alien

Comments

Brian Rewis

I’m super confused about the shitty gang comment, but psyched you are getting into the Alien franchise. Thanks for fhe entertainment!

Josh Viz

Yes yes yes yes! I love the alien franchise. Controversial take but Prometheus and its sequal have to be my favorite 2! Alien Vs Predator is going to be sick! 🔥 haha

John H

If you like big monsters, maybe check Pasific Rim.

Harvey

Ayyy great film, thanks 🙏

Peter K

Yeah, what did SSGG do to get this request done? I was going to comment that now that you are doing 5 TV shows, TWD, Last Of Us, Severance, and 2 anime shows, it seems that there are fewer movie reactions. I love you two, but I hope you will find more of a balance between movies and TV shows in the future. I'll be watching this little gem tonight, I am sure it got you good.

DarrellWaller

Predator 2 sucks. However, it has an easter egg that confirms both Alien and Predator are in the same universe. Now for an EPIC movie.....Aliens (note the "s" on the end). A follow up movie to this one and in most people's opinion the better movie.

John H

Ellen Ripley THE Ultimate Badass superhero. Aliens Special Edition next, plz. (imo Aliens Special Edition > Predator 2)

JW

yeah might aswell see how the anime does on the main

TheOctobers

lol he didn’t he gave us a poster and it happened to be on that list bc we were doing this one regardless since we did predator

Gail Ferguson

Sir Ridley Scott is considered one of the best directors of his time. Alien is actually the second film he ever made. You may be more aware of his films like Gladiator, Black Hawk Down, and Blade Runner, Kingdom of Heaven and The Martian.

ariel mermaid

King Kong vs Godzilla movies are very good I hope you watch them

ariel mermaid

I hope you guys watch all the Alien movies plus the 3 new ones they’re all connected great movies

Movies from the 70s go hard!! A true golden age in filmmaking with technical advances, directors with real vision, and the new-found ability to push beyond what was previously allowed in the 60s due to studio censors. Only the 90s came anywhere close to directors really being able to do things outside the norm. The 79s are definitely a decade worth exploring more. I won't say which you should do next, but I WILL say that Aliens was directed by James Cameron, who did the Terminator films... so take that for what it's worth ;) I know people will want the Special Edition of Aliens, and for the most part I agree, but there's one scene that kind of gives away too much of where the film is going early on that wasn't included in the theatrical cut for good reason. Did y'all recognize Ian Holm (Ash the robot)? He played Bilbo in Lord of the Rings. As far as the rest of the Alien franchise, they kind of get progressively worse after Aliens, but whatever you decide to do I'm here for. I'd still like to see some more comedy on the channel. Maybe you can throw Airplane! from 1980 in soon since you're kind of in that era right now? You'll laugh your asses off. Speaking of which, Tony comparing the airlocks to assholes had me dying! Stay pervy Mr. October! Glad you're feeling better as well, Mrs. October. You sound much better! Peace out for now, off to see Sinners with a friend.

Peter K

I don't look at them that way, because they are two very different genres. Alien is straight up horror, while Aliens is an action flick. As far as that goes, both delivered. You saw another Ridley Scott movie, Gladiator. I would skip two, I was not impressed and even Denzel couldn't make it interesting.

Peter K

Let us know when you get a new PO box, I would like to send you two something...

Sassy monster

This is my personal favorite movie series ❤️

Sassy monster

And then there is Prey the sequel

Brian Rewis

lol I did not even understand what the words shitty gang meant, but I am caught up now. Have a great night everyone!

Jesse Lee

This is making me want to play a game like Dead Space now.

Josh M

Yesss, my favorite movie of all time. Preys on our fear of the unknown brilliantly. I think the Nostromo is the coolest spaceship in all of sci-fi. It feels like a rustic, lived in hauler, which to me feels more realistic than all of the shiny, hyper-futuristic stuff we see in modern movies. The sequels IMO range from incredible to absolute garbage, but for better or worse they're all interesting. Except for alien vs predator. I would argue that those missed the point of both franchises.

Peter K

Arnold is not in the second Predator movie, and as others have said, it was not all that good. On the other hand, the next Alien movie is a James Cameron action fest that does bring back Ripley. After that don't waste your time with the third, but there are a couple of actors you will recognize from the Terminator movies in Aliens.

Jean Choi

Sir Ridley Scott also directed Gladiator, Blade Runner, The Martian, Black Hawk Down, Thelma & Louise - Thats just off the top of my head. He’s considered one of the greatest directors of the 20th century. Go watch Aliens, which is the next one in this and is James Cameron’s next movie after Terminator. It’s so freaking good.

Chase Schleich

Now you need to go play Alien: Isolation. It's a video game that's a sequel to this movie.

Christian

I hated gladiator 2 so much lol the ending was so awful to me

Eddie

If y'all going to continue the Series try watching Aliens Special Edition/directors cut then the Theatrical cut.

Goodno Goodno

I have never wanted you guys to watch ANYTHING more than Godzilla franchise... If u need some 'help' figuring out where to start or potential starting options for the franchise, I'm sure someone would give u guys all the deets. I would for sure! Godzilla was made by japan as the fear of nuclear weapons and the devastating impact of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki so they were initially very dark. The "Monsterverse" which started in 2016 by the US don't exactly align with this especially since we cant really recreate the authenticity of how Japan felt making the originals back in '54. Mrs O!!! Give it a chance 😎 nothing is cooler than BiG MOnStEr its deeper than y'all think but anyways love yall!!

Michal Kubán

04:40 If nothing scares you, watch horror movie called "Mirrors" from 2008. I play horror games like walking in a park, but that shit scared even me :D EDIT: I may have screamed a little bit in recent SIlent Hill 2 remake, but it was mostly some jumpscares.

KiwiJello

I don't comment much, but really loved this reaction. Alien is a masterpiece in suspense. I hope you do AlienS. Is just as good, in other, ways, if not better. If you like Space Horror, might I suggest: Event Horizon And JASON X, because it's one of my Favorite "Friday the 13th" sequels. :)

BusterB

You guys ain't stupid so I know you gonna check out Aliens. Remember that feeling when you watched Termanator and when you checked out Termamator 2 it was epic, well the Alien sequel be on the same level, this time don't take the advice of others because they think stop at the second movie. You already missed out on Termanator 3 and the rest in that franchise, take a chance with the Alien franchise guys.

ShittyShittyGameGang

Glad yall like your gifts! I have the same one and watching Alien with yall will be my scratch off for that one too. I've seen bits of it off and on but I've never watched all the way through. The timing was super kool, glad it worked out that way! Hope yall watch through both the Alien & Predator franchises, I have watched AVP and remember enjoying it and apparently the newest Predator movie (Predator: Badlands) is going to be connected to the newest Alien movie (Alien: Romulus).

Axël d'Auersperg

Especially since you've started watching foreign language subtitled shows with anime, if you want to get into Godzilla the newest film "Godzilla Minus One" wouldn't be a bad place to start.

Jonny

You guys will love Godzilla. Start from Godzilla 2014 to start the Monsterverse.

Jacob Gregg

when or if you watch the next aliens watch the extend one adds to the story..

Michael from Seattle

Marvel Universe connection - remember in Avengers Infinity War when Ironman blasts Squinward thru the wall of the ship when he and Spiderman are saving Dr Strange? Peter Parker gets the idea from this movie! "The kid's seen more movies" ...

Martin Long

Classic horror/sci-fi, love it 😊 love you guys 👍❤️ Aliens is awesome for when you get to it. Martin - from the UK 🇬🇧

Micah Hawkins

Talking about Godzilla... you guys really ought to react to 'Godzilla Minus One'. Best damn Godzilla movie I have ever seen, hands down, but one of the best movies I've seen, period. It's not just a 'monster movie'. Excellent effects & great action sequences, but it pays attention to plot & character development & does them well, with human characters you genuinely care about, cry for, & cheer for. You will not be sorry.

Micah Hawkins

Forgot to ask if you recognized Bilbo Baggins & Ollivander.
