Joseph Coakley

Gonna watch this banger at work tomorrow morning such a good movie

Ray H

Didn’t see this one coming, classic tho!

Quinten Shibusawa

So the super duper cut is 4.5 hrs because it includes the theatrical and extended version. It plays back to back. So don't worry about a 4 hr movie lol. Or were you guys watching both?

Richard B

This is a nice surprise.

Juan Gonzales

The super duper cut is 2 hours and 14 mins not 4 hours

All See’er

You serve more than one life sentence because each sentence has to be appealed individually. So if you get 3, you gotta fight 3 which is real hard to do. You killed 3 ppl. if you’re innocent of 1 but not the other 2, you still got 2.

Ony Ibe

Super Duper Cut starts immediately following end credits of theatrical version.

Kiera Walker

Literally, just beat me to it, lol. Same with parole and concurrent/consecutive sentencing. You can serve duel life sentences together or one after the other. It’s basically to make challenging/beating the sentence after a guilty verdict all the more difficult.

Quinten Shibusawa

Exactly. Always annoying because that's the version I prefer so I have to fast forward just to get to it 😂

Dayvon148

Mann I wish Deadpool 3 will actually be this long lmao I wouldn’t be mad at it😭

Kiera Walker

Little fun piece of trivia…Byron Hadley, the sociopath head prison guard, is also Mr. Krabs from SpongeBob SquarePants 😆😍

Andrew

Captain Hadley is the voice of Mr. Krabs. Little fun fact for ya there. He also voiced Surtur in Thor Ragnarok.

Andrew

The white powder they throw on new prisoners is delousing powder. Meant to kill lice.

TheOctobers

that was the best fun trivia of all time! argh argh argh

TheOctobers

we saw 4.5 when we were about to start it

Juan Gonzales

that's weird because when i played it on blu ray and digital its 2: 14

TheOctobers

we just thought it was 4 hours and we only had 2 hours, thanks for telling us that tho! now we will watch it ASAP :)

TheOctobers

wow thanks for explaining that! we are over here like doesn't make senseee!

Quinten Shibusawa

Yeah, hopefully you guys will be able to get to the start of it without accidently seeing parts of the movie. I just pulled up my version on Amazon and it starts at 1:59:30

TheOctobers

we shoulda asked yall first lol 😂 bc we were like oh wait we gottta be mentally prepared to laugh for 4 straight lol

Michael Chase Vickery

There's a reason why this movie is the number 1 rated movie on IMDB. Perfection

Jay Owin

I hope you watch A Beautiful Mind ASAP. It is the missing pice between Gladiator (russle crowe) and Wanda (Vision). It is a different kind of banger. I know you will enjoy it.

Jim Schmitz

In a remotely similar vein, also outstanding: "The Green Mile".

Christian

I worked in a prison for a brief time after the military and it is so much worse in there than you would imagine lol I saw so many unbelievably gruesome things happen, you can't turn your back to the wrong areas, it's just a gang ridden mess full of people with absolutely nothing to lose. I remember one search of just 1 cell block which was maybe like 50 people and we found over 70 shanks and that was very common. You just can't control that many people with the resources most prisons are given. So yeah don't ever go to prison lol it sucks big time. Also if you're gonna keep doing these classic great movies, I'd recommend Good Will Hunting, my all time favorite film. Just another great human story. Robin Williams best role imo love that man

Pete Befi

Good will hunting. Braveheart. Green Mile.

Jay Owin

The fact that you said thus movie is about hope before the ending hope montage shows both the quality of this movie and your reactions. 94-96 had the most best movies of all time. Check out: Powder (1995). You'll see what I mean. This is only an average movie from that time. I mean average in the best possible way.

Jay Owin

Ya if you guys havent seen the green mile you kind of have to watch it now. It is an unofficial official thing. The other two movies are must watch as well. Is there a list on your discord of movies you have seen and that have been reccomended?

Michael Boehl

If you liked this, then y'all should definetly watch the Green Mile. It is one of the best Stephen King adaptaitions ever made imo

TA Slay

Sears and Roebuck was a department store chain. Definitely would have been big during this era, was one of the biggest chains in the country all the way up to the 80's and 90's. The Sears Tower in Chicago was their headquarters for many years. Yall are some young uns lol.

Buğrahan Bilaloğlu

You should also see Green Mile and The Mist to complete best of Frank Darabont Edit: I just finished and you said recommend more movies like this and I'm saying again, this is a Stephen King adaptation by Frank Darabont and Green Mile and The Mist are also Stephen King adaptations directed by Frank Darabont aswell so both should really really be on your radar. The Mist is a horror movie tho so keep that in mind

Buğrahan Bilaloğlu

Best movie out there, period, 30 years and its still at the top of imdb.

Josh Viz

I see lots of people recommending Green Mile and I just wanna say YES PLEASE

Joseph Coakley

Please react to Green Mile by the way!

Derek McCain

Great reaction! Stephen King writes great old prison stories. Both Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile are in my top ten best all time movies, but what do I know??? I’m a weird dude.

Charissa Kay

Red was finally approved because he didn't just say what they wanted to hear, he said what was true, which was yeah he was rehabbed. He didn't want to be that person he was when he was young and he regretted his actions. He was remorseful and truly a changed person. So he was approved based on that honesty and forthcoming (as opposed to the lack of confidence or hope in the process he'd always had before).

J-rad

So glad you loved this. It’s truly a classic, and I’m glad you’re coming around on ‘older’ films now. As a film lover for most of my like it’s really fun to watch people’s taste in films developing. Keep it up! 👍🏼

Jessica Houser

Ok, so....I might be the first one to admit that I've done quite a bit of time myself. It is absolutely as horrible as this shows it to be. Now that being said, it depends on the facility and the individual guards. Just like anything else, there's good and bad in both. I can tell you first hand that my time changed me completely, mostly for the better because I don't ever want to go back but it also damaged me and gave me PTSD. I still live like I'm in prison even now 7 years after getting out. Being institutionalized is a very real thing. This movie always breaks my heart throughout but it's great at showing hope. Thanks for the reaction! Great as always!

Karen Cribb

Great reaction! Another great movie is Dances With Wolves 1990. I hope you will react to that one.

Justin Webb

It was justice for each victim that matters in this case.
