It's a soap opera, so there are a lot of cast members like that, not even all of them. But a quick breakdown for the people we met: Anita and Vernon Dupree there children are Nicole and Dani Dupree. Nicole kids are Kat, and Martin Richardson. Dani kids are Chelsea Hamilton and Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne with ex husband Bill Hamilton. Naomi is married to Jacob Hamilton and best friend with Ashley Morgan but also formally best friend with Hayley Lawson who is engaged to her father. We also met Andre Hamilton who is Nicole nephew by marriage, Derek, who is Ashley boyfriend, and Vanessa a realtor Everyone said that about Ashley and Derek when the episode first came out too. It fell out of place. But one of the reasons why I love this show is because the cast is mostly black and they are not broke like they're rich. Everyone says the most unrealistic thing about this show is Dani having two grown daughters. I'm not quite sure about the characters, but in real life actress who plays Dani is 43. I believe the actress who plays Naomi is 28 and actress who play Chelsea is 25. So I think Dani supposed to be older than what she looks but she looks so young. But Chelsea and Kat face card is top tier. Especially Kat. It's funny how you compared the intro to real housewives because that extra at the end is actually a housewives. But yeah when they reveal that Bill is a serial cheater I was over it, Dani deserves better, I hate how she was fine with the cheating because she didn't think he would leave her. Jacob and Naomi are horny asf like why did they even get dressed, I mean the tagline for soaps is 'love in the afternoon' and that PUNCH!!! I scream because she knocked her down. I love how her family just stares Hayley down before walking after Dani like that family loyalty right there.

OMG IM SO HAPPY THAT YOU ARE REACTING TO THIS🤭🤭 This show is so good, obviously it isnt perfect, but the acting, wardrobe, music, and writing is amazing. Me and my soap fans on Twitter have been so hyped about this show since it was first announced. One of the main reasons why it is important to us is because (even tho i am new to soaps since im only 22😭) soap operas have a diverse audience, but a good chunk of that audience is black women, and yet in soap history (and currently with the other 4 that are still running, especially General Hospital) the black women on the show are always disrespected, minimalized, and shoved off to the side, but they still try to use their characters to hype up other characters that they want ppl to like. A recent example is Trina on General Hospital. Trina was part of this supercouple with Spencer, a white prince who is a legacy character (and this is what brought me to the show). The ship started in 2021, and it blew up and had the show constantly trending and singing praises, but TPTB wanted the ship only to make Spencer popular and then they wanted to move him on to Trina's white best friend, but bcuz the actor who played Spencer didn't want it and neither did the audience, the ship continued. Even tho Trina and Sprina (the couple name) never failed to trend and bring positive attention to the show, some of the writers and the show runner kept trying to sabotage the characters and couple and make Trina a second choice. So we got our couple until 2024 when the actor who played Spencer left, and we got a new head writer, who worked for the show for 30 years but is not a great writer and is extremely biased and is one of the writers who always tried to sabotage Trina and Sprina. And not just that, but all the writers (who scripts won them an Emmy that year) who also happened to be supportive of Trina and Sprina got fired, including their only black writer Shannon Peace. And then even tho Trina is a very popular character (with or without Spencer) she IMMEDIATELY got shoved into the background (along with the rest of the black characters) and her stories was given to her white counterparts. This girl was on the cover of People's magazine TWICE and got treated like shit. And when the actress got attacked by a racist fan last year, the TPTB didnt do ANYTHING to stand up for her, but if someone so much as COMPLAINS about a white character/actress, they put out a whole statement and article. That was the final straw for a lot of the black fans of soaps. We were so tired of being treated like shit and being constantly disrespected even tho we did the most to help promote the show. So when BTG was announced, we were so excited to have a show that not only cared about it's audience, but gave a voice to the characters that are usually silenced in not just soaps, but in tv in general. and a show that has black women leading not just in front of the camera, but behind the scenes as well. and so far, this show is SO ENTERTAINING. My grandma (who's white and doesn't even watch scripted shows) watches this show every day that it's on and always talks about it. I hope you continue to make these reactions and help spread the word because this show deserves so much praise and bcuz it is black women-led, it already has ppl try to tear it down. i think Dani is supposed to be around 50 because she said that her and Bill got married when she was 20 and the marriage lasted for about 30 years, so I think Naomi is probably close to 30 and Chelsea is prolly in her early to mid twenties, so it isnt that unrealistic

I meant 'unrealistic' in real life not on the show. Because she's only fifteen years older than her on screen daughter(Naomi) in real life.
