Thank you for doing this! It was SO much fun!! And now that I know you've never finished it I'll have to make sure I make that happen. 😊 As for my name, don't worry. Everyone struggles with it lol. You pronounce it sha-vawn. It's an Irish name so the i is like an a and the bh is like a v. Complicated I know and I'm not Irish, I was named after a woman in an 80s band that my dad had a crush on, so no one's ever been able to say my name where I live. 😂

the timeline overall is a big issue for me but the double standards for certain characters, and unnecessary storylines like the entire cheating plot for example. I feel like some things were unnecessary and could've been focused on in different areas for all characters. Like we had new characters being introduced & some didn't even really add to the plot in all honesty, while some of our original cast still had storylines up in there but instead of including or focusing on them they either were guest stars or written out of whatever season it was entirely. Then I feel certain characters (excuse my language) had half ass writing and it overall just turned into the Ricky & Gina show and we barley saw anyone else. Also I feel like Ricky imo he had no character development at all, he just got handed everything he wanted in the end.

That's interesting, thanks for explaining. As a massive Rina shipper and Ricky lover I didn't mind at all that they took over lol. But I can understand why you weren't keen on the last two seasons if you aren't a shipper. I do have to disagree about Ricky not having any character development, I think he grew a lot as a person. He learnt to accept change with the help of EJ, he learnt not to be so dependant on his girlfriend, he became WAY more trustworthy and in the final musical they did he showed up on time and he learnt all his words on time and he proved how much he'd grown. But I will agree that the Seblos cheating storyline was terrible, I hated that. And I wish they'd done the Miss Jenn and Mr Mazzara storyline better. I also think that they should've done a 5th season because the 4th did feel rushed at times. But overall I love the last two seasons, especially Rina and also Ashlyn's journey with her sexuality which I related to a lot. I respect your opinion though and I'm sorry that you didn't get the same joy from the end of the show that I did. 💕

- Of the main 4 couples I really only shipped portwell, and I didn't mind Rina but only from Gina''s side of things. Me personally I prefer their friendship but they were cute im not gonna lie. I love Gina she's my second favorite female character and in my big 3, so seeing more of her was no issue. I wasn't keen on the last two seasons, mainly because of the unwarranted disrespect to Ej like I was pissed off every week aside from seeing Kourtney, Ash, & Gina. Then I completely understand having an endgame ship in mind but when you're trying to sell an endgame to the people who dont ship them, instead of gradually getting you to like them it felt like it was being forced down my throat every episode. to add onto that it didn't really feel like "it was always gina for Ricky" with the show taking place all within a year it just felt like the feelings were underdeveloped on his side. - I can see from your pov how you'd say he grew a lot as a person but to me I just feel like it was the same repeated cycle, like the shutting down, the same codependency, and the whole thing with ej once again and not taking accountability or ever being called out on it. like he was dating nini for however many years, she said I love you he then took off on her & started dating other people during their "break" nini didnt want one & considered it as a breakup she started dating someone else he then decided he wanted her back and did the whole one nine as we see. him and nini are pretty much off & on the entire junior year, he starts dating that blonde girl, from April to the beginning of June and then he goes to the camp. he all of sudden has his feelings for gina coming back to light after being single for a few days & then they start dating a month later. then in the thick of it all somehow someway Tim had the audacity to write that line of Ej calling Ricky his brother when they were acquaintances at best. as he's dating gina he storms off after the whole movie fiasco after he had a meltdown about his grades & him depending on gina to help him, she moves the movie set for him, he miraculously gets a scholarship to the university nearby because of a "good recommendation" and his parents end backup together. he's a good friend to people who he'd actually consider to be his friends but aside from that, he was never moving me 😭 - yeah that seblos storyline was absolutely unnecessary, honestly in s3 I wish they did like a half & half kinda thing where it was flipping back and fourth to the camp and Salt Lake City to start developing them & the other characters who weren't there at the camp that would've been so good, if they were going to leave the pace of jenzara where it was in s4. I loved Ashlyn's journey with her sexuality too, I think it blended beautifully with who she was as a person. I think we did need a season 5 also because season 4 was rushed in some areas but honestly what I really wanted was a Kourtney spinoff. I respect your opinion too though, and im glad we could both share our thoughts 💕
