I love the references to seasons one and two. Emma turned Andi into a goat in season one, and Jax ate some popcorn while spying on Daniel when he was in detention in season two. 'You just care for him more?' 'Yes.' In a ditch somewhere, S1 and S2 Emma were discovered to be dead. 🤣 I love that Daniel remembers both lives and still wants to be Mia despite knowing everything she did in season three. Mia not remembering doesn't make sense, and her not being a main character feels even stupider now because she should have been a main character in the second half. I love that Mia said she wasn't Daniel's consolation prize because earlier in the episode, Daniel said to Emma that 'he doesn't have her, he doesn't have Mia', like he was just fine with ending up with one of them and it didn't matter who. Maddie and Diego were the reason why I said in my comment that you not having time to watch this episode before your vacation may have been a blessing. 😭 Emma was pretty much screaming 'my man, my man, my man' this whole episode. She was riding for Jax, ready to attack Ursula and Maddie for him too. She did attack the council over him. But I also love that Diego shut it down too, despite him being mad at her. We're not touching Maddie either.

And yeah, these storylines are happening too late in the show. I don't believe the writers were aware of the extent to which the fans would prefer Jax over Daniel. The main three characters were supposed to be Emma, Daniel, and Maddie. That's why they cast their parents from the start and gave them all the house sets because those were our leads. Four seasons in, we never met any other characters' parents. We saw the outside of Andi's house once in season one, and we only saw Jax's bedroom in season two. But Sophie, Katie, Diego and Gigi's parents, or houses? No. Why? Because they are just friends of our three main characters, and only existed to be there for our mains. But after Jax won that poll, they had to create a house and family for him, and make him the main male lead instead of being a rival to the main one. You can tell that Daniel got a lesser role in this season. I never cared for Daniel's character anyways, so I didn't mind them pushing him in back more in favor of Jax. However, as you said, everything feels rushed. Also Andi comment about her personality changing is so funny because we knew Daniela was filming 'wits academy' when this season aired, and it so obviously that the writers was slowly trying to turned her into a main character. Her personality ain't changing because of the break, it changing because you guys gave her a show, and need her be more of a lead.

- " it was just a feeling." "you just care for him more?" "yes." my Jemma heart 🥹 - the entirety of season 4 should've been about the Vanpelts/Novoa family & then the other plot line that Emma has to do with the tie in of lore from the realm for the witz spinoff. It would've been messy as hell for sure but could've easily been considered the best season. - Maddie was wrong as hell for agreeing to that compromise - the council who are considered to be the most powerful wizards & witches aside from the chosen 1 being scared of Jake is hilarious - that miego breakup had us shook back in the day, I was surprised they actually went through with it - that snarky personality change in Emma out of nowhere is still crazy to me, granted we've seen little hints since season 2 but her just fully jumping into it in the second half of the season is crazy
