Here's my reaction to the new Descendants movie. I ended up liking it much more than Rise of the Red so I would love to knnow your thoughts!

Yesssss!!! It was def a upgrade from Rise of Red. FUN FACT: The Choreographer from WICKED actually did the choreo for this one and most of the songs were written by the same songwriters from D2 and D3. My PERSONAL rankings of the films: D2, D5, D1, D3, D4.

And girl yesss they Kylie (RED) and Malia (CHLOE) were bestfriends... They went on tour last summer with the Zombies cast where Kylie was dating Malachi Barton (Victor in DAWN OF THE VAMPIRES), after tour Kylie broke it off with him and Malia started dating him later that year around like November, so now Kylie unfollowed them both and they aren't friends no more. YOU should really check out Kylie's new EP 'Valley Girl Problems' which tells the whole story bascially that she found out he was talking to another girl and that the other girl was in fact her bestie MALIA. MESSSSSSY but Team Kylie lol

At first I wasn’t a fan of this movie but I rewatched and I agree I do like it a bit more than the last one. BUT my biggest grievance is how much they did voiceovers instead of just showing the characters speaking, like there would be a voiceover but the actor was not moving there mouth. There are so many scenes that could’ve been a stand still just the characters speaking but they did voiceover’s instead, that just kept bothering me 😭. There’s also some weird cuts between scenes t

If you listen to Kylie’s newest album that’s coming out soon she speaks through song about some of the stuff that happened to her and Malia(Chloe). It’s sad cuz their relationship was truly so amazing to see like they even shipped themselves together, to public knowledge they fell out over a boy(who’s weird anyway..)

Chloe kinda annoy me in this film. Like I don't remember her being judgmental in the first film. Like she was actually nice to Red the first time they met. But in a way like I guess it makes sense that she not the friendliest towards VKs giving how her brother Chad used to act towards them in the original films. Also Felix is Celia's from descendants 3 brother. And The Smee brothers were the boys that Carlos and Jay pick to come to Auradon. Different actors. Also why do curly hair = good and straight hair = evil in these movies? Oh and the tea between Kylie, Malia and Malachi. They really trying to reheat Selena, Miley and Nick nachos.

Crazy to hear that some of the OG VK'S from the original trilogy got siblings. Obviously we know Chloe is Chad's little sister cause they're Cinderella's kids. But now we know Harry (Captain Hook's son) has a sister named Hazel. And Felix is Celia's little brother cause their dad is Dr. Facilier (Villan of The Princess & The Frog).

Great reaction as always :) This movie visually, costumes, musically, and the plot was definitely a step up from Rise of Red, it gave me vibes of the OG descendants movies. My fav song is definitely the Hael x Luis one as well, the vibes of it was so much fun (and Hazel is such a baddie I agree) the new kids all brought something to the screen, I loved them. Also, it was you calling us out saying "I know there's some of y'all out there shipping them already, I KNOW YALL!" with Hazel and Chloe because you would be 100% correct, we do lol 😭

I find Wicked Wonderland better than Rise of Red and the songs were really great, and I also loved that there were so many new characters and how, as you said, they took more time for the story and gave the characters more depth. And I always love it when the VK and the HK work together and realize that they are actually sometimes more alike than they would like. If I have to rank the songs, this is my ranking. 1. Heartless 2. Mad 3. Perfect Princess 4. Dancing with the Enemy 5. Did You Hear About Them 6. For Once in My Life 7. The Girl I Used to Be 8. Go Live It 9. Who I Am And I also think Pink is going to go evil in the next one, and I really hope we see Alice in the next movie; she is the only character missing. And I really liked that the Mad Hatter was the villain; I hadn't expected that, and it was really fun that he was, and that cat was so messy. And Max's crash out was valid, I would react the same way if I realized I had a whole different life, and that is just gone now, and Chloe turning evil was so good and it suited her so well and I loved the outfit when she was evil. And oh yeah, the ships are going crazy, they're shipping Chloe, as you already suspected, with Hazel, but they're shipping Chloe with Max too and I could go on and on, but those are definitely the two most popular ones and the songs have been stuck in my head since this movie came out. I loved your reaction to this movie.

This was SO much fun!! I totally agree with you and with everyone else that this is vastly better than Rise Of Red was. That movie wasn't bad but yeah it was rushed and only had a couple of good songs. Whereas this movie had a better storyline and every song is a banger!! First of all Brandy and Rita are amazing in this. I'm glad they were given a bigger role and duet, which was stunning!! I haven't seen many people talk about their duet which is a shame because it's so beautiful. I agree completely that Red and Luis are adorable, I wasn't expecting a romance in this one so it was a nice surprise. They have great chemistry. Plus their duet For Once In My Life is the first ever romantic duet in a Descendants movie, which is wild 5 movies in lol, Mal and Ben never had one. I can't wait to see Red and Luis' relationship develop. I loved the sweet funny characters of The Smees and Pink. I don't usually like silly characters but they really balanced out all the other sassy characters. It worked. And I'm glad you remembered Pink/Liamani from HSMTMTS. I think Maddox Hatter and Max Hatter are my favourite characters, both phenomenal actors. And Max's voice in Heartless blew me away, what a talent that guy is. Surprised we haven't seen him in anything before this. Hazel is great too, I love all her funny quips and one liners. Plus her and Chloe DEFINITELY had chemistry. You clocked that people would be shipping them lmao. Their ship name is Charmwaves and I'm deep into the Charmwaves TikTok fandom. 😂 As for the Red and Chloe conflict, it really is a difficult one. One one hand Red was very dismissive, wasn't listening and did use Chloe as live bait which wasn't ok. But on the other hand Red's whole life has changed in the space of a couple of days and Chloe has put this unrealistic expectation on Red to suddenly be a full hero now and didn't understand that Red's villain side will always be a part of her. Their whole situation in this movie was really just a communication issue that escalated into madness thanks to that damn cat lol. But yeah, fantastic movie. I loved it so I'm glad you did too. 😊 And these actors all have a lot of projects coming up to enjoy. Kylie just released her debut album, full of songs about the Malia/Malachi situation. It's brilliant and well worth a listen, especially the song Space Between which is named after the Descendants 2 song that Kylie and Malia sang on tour. Malia is producing and staring in a survival drama called Hair of The Bear. Liamani (Pink) is the lead of the new Camp Rock movie that's out on August 14th, alongside Malachi Barton (the current male lead of the Zombies franchise who caused all the drama between Kylie and Malia). Malachi is also starring in a new Disney Channel TV series called Coven Academy which looks fantastic, Brandon Tremblay (Max Hatter) is also in it, that's gonna be a show worth watching and will be out very soon. Etc etc. So there will be a lot coming soon worth reacting to which is exciting. 🥳

yea kylie (red) and malia (chloe) used to be very close and were friends for like 3-4 years and they used to talk on insta before doing descendants but kylie was dating this other actor from the zombies 5 cast and shortly after they broke up malia got with him in her new song she mentions how it happened like 3 days after they broke up and how malia would be comforting kylie in her hotel room and right after left to go to his room so now they arent friends sadly

first time i watched it i didnt really like it but now that ive watched it a couple of times more its growing on me... i do think there were so big plot holes left with different peoples stories like for robbie and felix plus the new people we arent asd attached to like red and chloe so their story plots were a bit weak but maybe that'll be explained in the next movie.... though i do think this series would be a perfect show (live action not cartoon)

I think with the hair thing its just that its not usually what she does. In movies the evil version does the opposite. Like Katherine vs Elena in tvd. Kathrine has curly hair, Elena has straight.

EDIT: I actually wrote SO much! Reply if you agree or disagree about something and thanks to anyone who actually read all of this. As someone who watched this movie 5 times now let me tell you what I think, it'll probably be long.... More lighthearted thoughts, The outfits and the sets were so cool. They were so pretty and I think it had the perfect look for Wonderland. I also LOVE the Queen of Hearts’ castle. We can see a lot of it in the beginning and all the pink and red hearts are so nice. Cinderella's castle was really cool looking too, with all the blue and silver it looks really fancy. With the ships, I didn’t really like Red and Luis together until their song. It was really cute and it might be my favorite song of all the movies. I liked both Red and Max and Chloe and Max but in the end my favorites are RED + MAX (MadHearts) and CHLOE + HAZEL (CharmWaves). Honorable mention Max + Luis (StrongHat) I do really like Luis though. I also LOVE the songs in this movie. People might disagree but I like these songs more than most of the songs from the other Movies. Onto the main thoughts I think Chloe should not have been as mad at Red as she was. She was stressing because she thought she finally knew her mom better but now she doesn't know her at all since the timeline changed and the stuff with Red, she didn't like her idea and pretty much used her to get the flower. On your first watch it seems like Chloe's completely valid but really...They've known each other TWO DAYS!!! Three at the most. The day they met was the same day they went back in time and started at Merlin Academy (Day One). When they got there, it was 2 days from Castle Coming, where Brigit's prank was played. – On that First day, they met, Brigit and Ella told them about the past, Brigit staged a coup, Red sentenced Ella to death, they fought for the watch, started at Merlin Academy, met Ella and Brigit, met the VKs, visited Ella and went to the VK’s hideout and found their plan for Brigit. On the second day, they met with Brigit, saw through the looking glass, Chloe visited Ella again, they broke into Merlin’s office, fought his security, let the VKs freeze, went home and finished the Welcome Day Ceremony at the school. – The day after they got back was when this movie started. They’re talking about being best friends but they met less than 42 hours ago. That’s the main reason I can’t take Chloe seriously with how upset she is at Red. And if you really think about it, only 2 of the things Chloe is mad about is really something to actually BE mad about. (Ignoring her idea with the bird, Not doing her chess idea, using her as bait, generally siding with the VKs & not noticing her struggling) –With the bird thing, she heard Chloe’s idea then asked Max who actually knows about the birds because HIS DAD made them and went with his idea because he knew more about them than Chloe. –The chess thing was the opposite, Red actually participated and went with Chloe’s idea and Robbie got thrown off the board. Chloe wanted to try again but it makes no sense to risk losing another person. –Being used as bait is the only thing that Red actually did that was bad. –Chloe was getting upset at red “acting” like a VK because she’s an “HK now” when it’s barely been 12 hours. She was actually kinda throwing shade at the VKs knowing that Red is still a VK in her mind, memories and experiences. –And about Red not noticing that Chloe was struggling or “drowning’...HER MOM WAS KIDNAPPED! HOW WOULD SHE NOTICE!? Now, Max…Max REALLY had the motive to become a villain and I would've %100 condoned it. Red and Chloe literally RUINED his life and now his dad is going to prison (or whatever they have). He and Maddox were the only ones that were really screwed over. I also thought of another ending for this movie. I’ll paste my comment from youtube. Here's what I think a good ending could've been for WW. I think they should've found a way to merge the memories (SVTFOE-Esque) from each timeline somehow. That way, 1. Red will get the memories of her sister and the good version of her mother. 2. Max and Maddox would get the time back that they lost together. 3. Brigit would get her memories back from when she was evil which could be an internal conflict. 4. It could cause others to go after Brigit for what she did in the other timeline. 5. Pink would be an outlier since her memories wouldn't change because she didn't exist. I think it's just such a good idea for more internal conflicts for people other than Chloe and Red since they'll all have 2 sets of memories. Except Pink would be the only one without 2 sets of memories and maybe something could happen with her since she was kind of forgotten and ignored even by her mom (like she shouldn't have existed.) Theres lots you could do with that. Plus, it would give Maddox and Max their father-son relationship back which is the main problem I want to solve.

Feel the irony in the movie that Chloe became evil bc of red’s betrayal and Malia betrayed Kylie ohhhh the irony is crazy even tho we don’t know the full true story but instead of Malia and Kylie I’m knowingly hating on Malachi like let’s be honest he looks and acts like a f boy he played all them girls for fools and I’m not just talking about Kylie and malia his ex gf’s apparently and Ruby(Bridget aka queen of hearts before turning evil) who is also a long term childhood friend with Kylie he apparently flirted with her too and freya who also plays his lover in zombies 5 it’s absolutely insane he playeddddddd all those girls

Hmm, I am not sure but the son of the Mad Hatter he has either a speech impediment or he's not American. The way he says certain words, I'm just not sure what accent it is. Very interesting though. I mean he can sing don't get me wrong, just something I noticed and curious about it. This movie was cute, I think they had too many characters but it was alright. I wonder if we'll find out who Red and Pink's dad is.

Fun Fact: in the Last song, The Actor who play Max Hatter got his outfit sleeve stuck in one of the buttons as he was dancing and you can see him struggling to get unstuck but still dance with the others. Pure professionalism there.
