Greetings, another publishing day is upon us! As anticipated, Book 3: Book 3 - Whispers of the Isles is now available on Kindle and paperback! Gonna take a couple more months for the audiobook.

All here know what a journey editing the whole book was. It took a few bumps on the road. I’m so excited to share the final version and hear what y’all think. I wanted to thank you all for the amazing support <3

If you already have Kindle Unlimited, a download can boost my launch rank. My publisher also never stops reminding me how important reviews and ratings are on Amazon. If you're enjoying the story, I'd mean a lot if you could do either. You don’t need to have purchased the book to leave a review (though it’s weighted more if you’ve read it).

Thank you all again!

See you on Friday,

Drew out!

PS: If you send me a screenshot on Discord with your e-book review (It doesn't have to be 5 stars or anything), I will do a raffle for a free month of Patreon at the end of the week!

PPS: For anyone who pre-ordered, there was a mistake with the manuscript, but it's since been fixed. If you notice a few words with parentheses around them, you can update the book download. I might have most of tonight sleep and half of my sanity getting it fixed, so it might take me a lil longer to finish today's chapter (Green Tier), but it's coming!

Are there any noticeable changes with the book and the Patreon chapters?

As somebody who has been reading through patreon for... god, years at this point, how much would i gain from reading the final books? How different are they?

Doug Wills

They are surprisingly different. No plot changes, but characterization is better, lots of things are cleaned up. They are genuinely quite a bit higher in quality. Easiest example if Flynn: Almost everyone who knows him from the final versions of book 2 adores him. As some of the earlier things he did that people found grating were toned down.

Everything flows soo much better now, it's like he went through and polished every sentence. Some chapters have been combined to make sure scenes weren't split like they were on RR. The only substantial difference I found from Patreon/RR was that the fate fulcrum was one of two Virya had come across instead of the only one.

Is that supposed to be Kai on the cover art? I am asking on account of the hair (not what I would describe as "ashen blond"), the sword (not crystal), and the gear (which I imagined would be a bit less cohesive). Though... that does look like ice magic.

Congrats on getting this out! Is there a timeframe for when the audiobook will be available?

He doesnt have the crystal sword until after the fight in the temple which might be middle of book 3

Joined Patreon after reading books. Can agree. I still intend on reading this one

Stephen Pearson

That's a good point actually - he grew up on islands or archipelagos and iirc is discriminated against in the earlier books based on his darker-than-occupiers skin, but here he looks positively Nordic, like the sun is a practical stranger. Not a huge deal, just surprised when my brain was triggered to compare the cover to the character.

Doug Wills

That isn't a good example of what he looks like. Drew will share some art soon that somebody made that actually looks how Kai is supposed to!
