Good video, and definitely Perifractic flavoured :-) The one thing I noticed NostalgiaNerd do that may matter is to give a spoiler warning when showing the manual cover: apparently the cover is supposed to be a surprise and these Spectrum Nexts seem to be only just shipping so possibly not everyone has seen the cover yet. Probably it worth another upload on its own, but if you are uploading again for another reason, maybe throw in a β€œspoiler warning” subtitle? Ewen

Yes at last a Speccy review.. and the video makes me want one.. I love the way they have used the design for using tapes and joystick as well. Thank you for putting this up.. much enjoyed!

Great video. One of your best. The only problem is now I'm even more impatient for my Next to arrive!

This is good stuff, the nostalgia is strong with you!

I wasn't even aware of this thing at it looks AWESOME! Though, I think you spent more time with it, then you did with Ladyfractic this week. Shame on you!

Currently watching Nostalgia Nerds hour long review of the Next and adding your review to my watch list. sigh....it’s so hard being a retro nerd πŸ‘

What a tough life! I'm sure his is more thorough but I intentionally haven't watched until mine is done. Don't want to get influenced with ideas or opinion. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ I probably have a slightly different angle/goal πŸ‘πŸ•ΉοΈ

Great video Chris. The Next is a cracking machine. I had the Dev board for a fair while. I reviewed NextDAW in the last Crash! annual (as well as the Next versions of Guild of Thieves and the Pawn) and I'm very much looking forward to hearing what you create with it! Also - I have a few original Atic Atac's and even though your recreation looks fab, it's always nice to have an original so I'll pop one of my spare's in the post to you :)

as you mentioned, the greatest graphics are in your mind, which is why i loved infocom games so much. isn’t the zx spectrum similar to the timex sinclair 1000 released here in the states? keep ip the great vids perifractic. πŸ™‚
