Update: The guy I hired on Fiverr to better animate my text "explainer" part of this video went AWOL & is 2 days late on the deadline. (What's not cool is Fiverr prevent you rating abandoned jobs so he still has 5 stars, & they only credit the money back to your "Fiverr balance" not your payment method - you have to actually email support to get your money back, grr. My first experience with Fiverr. And my last!) So if you were awaiting the flashier text part, I'm sorry it's not coming. But I did add a fun very small Lego bit at 1:44 instead ;-)

Dear Supporters

I had an idea a week ago to reformat ЯR Quick Bytes recipodes... Until now they've basically been for anything around 10 mins long but still took almost a week to make, but I decided to aim for more like 5 mins, for this reason:

When doing 2 big projects, as you know I sometimes need to skip a week between, because I can't fit 15 days of work into 2 weeks if you know what I mean. (And I don't love splitting projects into several video "parts", I prefer to wrap things up). And that was the case this week.

So then I thought… Quick Bytes is actually a great tool that could allow me a way to still put out a tiny video, instead of none at all in some instances. Cool idea right?!

  • Then Ghostbusters creator David Crane jumped into the mix with this Quick Bytes video...
  • Then I started diving into algorithms with not 1 but 3 coders…
  • And hired someone to help animate the text explainer (which will come in a video update later)…
  • Then found some old footage I just had to include…
  • Then added a new feature to my webpage for the video thanks to fellow supporter Matt Grandis…
  • Which had its own cool feature within a feature that I had to show in the vid…
  • Then Puppyfractic got a musical number...

And long story short, this Quick Bytes video is now almost 10 minutes long anyway! Welp. I tried. 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️ Maybe next time… 🤣 Until then, please enjoy the video and thank you for your ongoing support!

All I can think of now is this evil laughter: “Fiverrrrs....ah hahhaaa”

The Lego bit made me super happy to see. Since I am an AFOL myself, I get a bit giddy over seeing such things.
