Dear Supporters

Please join me in the live chat in a few hours for the unveiling of that top secret new product! This will go live at 8AM UK or Midnight PST. Open the video to find your local time and set an (unreliable) reminder on YouTube.

(Apologies for the launch time for some of you. Unfortunately the time was determined by the manufacturer.)

Hope to see you there! But the video will be available afterwards too.

Thank you for your ongoing support 👍🕹

I wish I could join live but I'll have just started work. I'm looking forward to the reveal a few hours later though 😁

Ooh, 8am in the UK. Perifractic for breakfast. Marvellous!

How do I set a reminder in YouTube?

CubicleNate

I see that this is 3am my time. I am going to make it because I am personally excited and I MUST be there.

Ordered one here in germany. They offer a package without mouse n stuff, too

As I said on YouTube (in more confused words), lovely renders, and I wish they were true, but barring that, I'd settle for some rendered images. I ordered one here in Greece (but no mouse or PSU, I got enough of those 🙂). Should probably be here Wednesday.

Great for entry level users and people who use it just for the software side but myself i would still go for the PiBoard version.

I really enjoyed this video; the reveal of this product was DEFINITELY worth the wait. As cool as the Raspberry Pi 400 is, though, the renders looked simply amazing. I really hope you get the chance to give your Pi 400 a retro look, as I'm sure the end result will look just as good as the renders themselves. 😊 The humor in this video was particularly enjoyable, but I loved how you tried to downplay the arrival of the Pi 400 and then ran to the door to get it...that part, especially, had me laughing and really set the tone for the rest of the video. 😆 This was a really awesome video, however, because even though it was a review of a new product, your honest assessment of its strengths and shortcomings make this channel a reliable source for an unbiased opinion, in addition to its usual contributions to the retro community. Thank you so much, Christian, for sharing this incredible and amazing product as well as your take on it; as usual, I can't wait to see what's next. Take care, and have a good one. 🙂

How was the performance for RetroPi? I’ve been thinking about doing something with RetroPi, and this might be what I was wanting.

Pharone

I'd honestly be interested in one that looked like a Commodore 64c, and just ran a commodore core myself.

Overall great! No real speed issues. I did have some glitching when I got the Amiga working but I suspect that's a config issue I can change. Overall 4.5/5!

Thank you! I enjoyed this one. when they first asked me if I'd like to look at it it was only a week ago and I didn't think I would have time. I am glad I agreed.

I've watched this video 4 or 5 times now since you released it. My Commodore fun happens with the use of emulators, which works well enough. However, the Raspbery Pi 400 is going to help me bring me emulation methods up a notch. I recall fondly Christmas 1986 and getting that C128 with the 1571 drive, dot matrix printer, and 1702 monitor. I think the closest thing that can bring me back to that childhood Christmas that I remember the most, is opening up a Raspbery Pi 400 this year. Sure, I can go out and order one right now, but I am having waaaay more fun hinting at the wife about it, not unlike I did with my parents back in 1986. I am eagerly anticipating making this latest Raspbery Pi into my main C64 and Amiga Emulator. We'll see what happens come Christmas morning.

Lovely idea for a Christmas gift to yourself. It certainly embodied some of the feelings of opening a Commodore at Christmas for me. Happy Xmas and thanks for watching!
