This month's movie commission will be Shelter (2007), requested by Joe Lancaster! Including Joe, three separate people requested Shelter and, like, who could possibly turn that down?

The reaction will land right at the tail end of the month. And keep an eye out for the usual Sweepstakes submission post for Tiered patrons, coming very soon. <3

Yay! I remember vividly finding this basically unknown, low budget movie online, having no expectations but being totally moved by it. One of the first queer films I saw (along with Latter Days lol) ❤️

Demi

Yesss such a good movie!

This film was so fundamental to me for multiple reasons when I found it trailing through blog posts of queer films when I was 18. I even hunted down the dvd 😄I'm excited to see how it hits over a decade later.

Omg It's been soooo long since I watched this movie for the first time. I don't remember anything about the story anymore so I'm excited to rewatch it along with you!

Oh my god? I’ve put it in like every sweepstakes but it never won and here we still are. Some things are just meant to be I guess! It was the first queer film I ever watched way back when, in YouTube of all places back when they didn’t really care about copyrighted stuff that much. I couldn’t have been more than 13-14 because my English had just gotten to the level where I had started venturing into watching things that didn’t have subtitles. It still has a special place in my heart even if haven’t watched it probably in over a decade so I’m exited to rewatch it with you after all these years!
