Seb

omg!! now i’m even more excited to finish work 😭

Catherine Thurmond

I've been having a day you have no idea how much this perked me up. Watch when I can. Thank you.💜

Hali

I am SO thrilled that you like it this much so far! Episode 4 (Masquerade) was what hooked me on this series, because just like you, I’m a huge sucker for when a generally lighthearted show takes a serious turn. I also adore that Angel’s story gives so much more context to his behavior up until now and completely demolishes the one-note Overtly Sexual Feminine Gay Guy trope that tends to pop up in things like anime. I hope you enjoy the rest too!! Have a lovely week 💜

Beny

Thrilled to see you enjoy it! It´s also already picked up for seasons 2-4. No date for season two yet, but presumably sometime this year, maybe in the fall.

Valeria V

I'm so happy you loved it😭 I had so much fun watching your reaction

Bethany R

i fully hear you about not expecting the show to be this good—it took over my life for a few months last year and i’m loving your theater kid reactions!! also, as an alastor/vox fan, i am so entertained by your ep. 2 reaction already

hell yeah hell yeah HELL YEAH !!!!

"Poison" is allegedly written in the style of Ke$ha's music from when she was being controlled by her manager. I don't know her music well enough to confirm, but if so, that's a brilliant bit of meta. Vivziepop is apparently a big fan so I expect there's a bit of Ke$ha in Angel Dust himself. (Ke$ha herself played a character on Helluva Boss.)

Euphoric_dusk

If you want to hear Zestial sing more you gotta watch Helluva Boss next

I really hope there is a chance she might squeeze in Helluva Boss into her schedule eventually, especially since she seems to enjoy this so much. It´s definitely way too long for it to be commissioned.

Fun fact: Adam eating ribs in the first episode is a reference to Eve being created from Adam’s Rib.

JMercedesD

It's so rare to find someone in nerd circles who is so fresh to this, especially since you're on Tumblr. :D

Maderia

I’m glad you’re loving it! Episode 4 is such a GOOD EPISODE.

This show has a sister show based in the same universe called Helluva Boss but it focuses on the Hellborns rather than the Sinners. It has been confirmed that there will be crossovers between the shows in the upcoming seasons. :)

i messaged her ear off about how and why those shows interconnect and why both are great and how they form a more clear picture of how hell works for the hellborn, and which cool singers they have....i think she would love daddy stolas....lullaby...caught me so off guard......i thought he was just supposed to be a thirsty owl....jesus, dont pull my heartstrings......lets see, she seems to dig Hazbin so far, maybe we dreamers can get Helluva Boss too. Downloading episodes right now....cant wait.

HOW DID I NOT SEE THIS UNTIL NOW?! BONNA BINGE WATCH ALL OF THESE RN

Euphoric_dusk

Yeah 'More Than Anything' had me bawling :'(

Catherine Thurmond

Yes please watch Helluva Boss. It's gayer and it's a great way to stave off Hazbin Hotel hunger pains real nicely. I knew you'd love this and your reactions were everything.💜

Hali

Ahhhh I’m so happy you enjoyed the whole series!! I do wish they had been allowed more episodes to help with pacing, but I agree that what they managed was incredible. That ending leaves open SO many fun questions, and I can’t wait to see where they go with it. It’d be nice to learn more about the characters too, which I imagine is on the table for S2! Ridiculously excited to hear that you’re interested in doing Helluva Boss at some point, because while I love both series I’m more partial to that one myself. Also just so you’re aware in advance, most of HB’s first season doesn’t have official subtitles yet, but there’s a Google Drive folder of subs made by a fan if you’d like that to be shared at any point!

Anais Winter

Oh, if we are getting Helluva Boss too, I will die happy.

Ninni

I agree with the others calling for Helluva Boss too. It's built a little differently from Hazbin, but is also very enjoyable.

Thank you so much for this reaction! I had such a great time watching it. It's so incredibly wonderful to be able to share these emotions with someone who can truly appreciate a work like this for what it is— instead of dismissing the whole story over some silly, made-up reasons. Thanks again!
