Off Camera:

  • Final vote for the next After Dark series (Tiers 3+4), a showdown between BBC's Merlin and I Told Sunset About You
  • Criminals, the queer re-telling of The Devil Judge, enters the final draft stage for episode one.
  • Man Suang releases in Thailand theaters, I keep my ear to the ground for any future online release.

I really want it to be Merlin! That fandom was my life in high school. Also, I just saw that The Devil Judge is coming to Netflix in the US, if that helps anyone. I look forward to rewatching it without the copious ads on Viki.

Btw have you heard about Only Friends? Its a thai BL from GMMTV now blowing up and you would probably LOVE to watch it. There are only 2 episodes out so far but it's super good and even if you dont react to it now you should definitely react to it in the future!!

Sorry to disappoint, but according to her tumblr page, she definitely doesn't love it. 😅

The series a bit on the toxic side... so I do understand why Brittany wouldn't like it. I am on the fence about it as well.

The thing is: not every queer relationship has to be healthy. The team behind this BL is mostly LGBT+ and they clearly show that on the screen. The relationships and friendships are messy and some seem to be dealing with trauma. If you dont like hook-up culture its probably not for you, but if you watch the 2 available episodes you'll understand its actually a very well-done show so far!
