2019: Changes & New Schedule (Patreon)

Hey, everyone!

Happy New Year! I hope y’all had a good restful holiday, or at least got to find a little time for yourself amid the end of year craziness. This was the first Christmas in a long time that I’ve gotten to actually relax, and not suffer through work crunch. Instead, I lounged in a pool and nursed my fucked up back in a hot tub and ate a lot of really good Mexican food. What did y’all get up to?

I wanted to talk to you folks about my plan for Patreon this year. I did not foresee that the majority of 2018 would be spent recovering from my extreme burnout after finishing Korra, so I’m very sorry this corner was quiet and inconsistent in its posting. I also finally received a formal diagnosis for my ADHD and am taking medication, which has begun to steadily improve my productivity and my general mental wellbeing (I cannot begin to describe to you how frustrating ADHD can be). SO. All the ambitions I had for this Patreon for 2018, I will actually implement for 2019. This means...

• REGULAR STREAM SCHEDULE! Every Wed, Thurs, and Friday at 2 PM PST, catch me on my Twitch channel (http://twitch.tv/kohquette) for whatever art I’m drawing that day. My small but wonderful community is super welcoming if you wanna come hang out and listen to my retro jpop/anime jams, ask me questions, etc. (And say hi if you drop by!) Regular streaming will start NEXT WEEK, Wednesday January 9th.
• Monthly calendar desktop/mobile background illustrations, in various dimensions for your personal use. This will be available for $5+ patrons. January one on its way soon!
• Process posts with explanations, mini art lessons, and VODs of my streams for those who don’t feel like fucking with Twitch, or miss one of my streams and just want easy access. The little art lessons will consist of useful tricks or important principles I’ve picked up along the way for illustration and comics making.
• R18/erotic art will still be a thing, hopefully more regularly again, for the $5+ patrons.
• A webcomic. YES, a webcomic. I will have many more details on this soon, but it will be done in collaboration with my hubby (@pattheflip on Twitter — he will also be launching his own Patreon soon for all-levels-friendly educational fighting games content, if that’s your jam!). Needless to say, I’m very excited for this one.
• I will be removing the $10+ tier rewards for the time being, until I’ve worked out the kinks of some more detailed plans. For now, I just want to keep things simple and focus on consistency and growth. Sorry! I promise this will be back, with better stuff once I’ve found my footing.
