Since yesterday's post I have learned a LOT about volumetrics and lighting, and I even finally touched the compositing tab for the first time. Turns out, yes, the sun shafts were way too much for that first scene. I rendered it and it was just too yellow and way too 'sun shafty'. So, I fixed it by reducing the volume cubes' density to still have some volume but not a weird annoying, unrealistic amount.

So now I can do cool stuff like this and luckily it doesn't hurt the render time that much: (Various render tests from different camera perspectives throughout the second scene)

I think it is safe to say that I can actually get this project done now, making the map and doing the lighting is such a block in my process but it definitely pays off, plus I learned a lotttt from this.
