May 22nd, 2020 update:

I do think the sketch is complete, and I'm ready to move on to outlining! Just a lot of little details added since the last one, most notably the belly scales! Provided colored and monochrome sketches in case anyone's preferences differ. I like to keep colored outlines, because something that is ESPECIALLY apparent in this sketch is when there is so much converging in small spaces, it can get difficult to know what lines are what! And if I don't know what the edges of shapes belong to, that can lead to confusion as to what should be colored what! It's also why I'll keep overlapping layers of stuff even that's obscured. I want to make sure everything is accurate. =) Oh yeah, I gave Lateef pubes too. ^^ So yup, time to begin the so very, very daunting task of outlining this calamity! Make no mistake, though! Complicated and detailed it is, I'm VERY excited about the end product. =)

May 7th, 2020 update:

It's all coming together! In fact, the sketch is almost done! Not a whole lot more to be added. Still some tweaks to be made to genitals, wanna add more hair in key places, and belly details on all three of them. Man, oh man, I'm still in awe what a big project this is, and how I managed to wrangle in everything I wanted to include no matter how tricky it was. It's not often I say I'm proud of how well I did on a piece, but as far as one is going now, I am! But it's not done yet. I'll save the felicitations for when it's complete. =)

May 1st, 2020 update:

There may not look like there was much added on a surface glance, but what was added was very important! I really wanted Lateef's other foot to be wrapped around Spyro, and I do believe I succeeded! Even with his wing in the way. But, uuh... you ended up not being able to see most of it. That's okay, though. I'm happier knowing that what I drew is accurate and possible rather than just drawing some lines in the midground and hoping that the viewer doesn't notice whether or not the anatomy works. Alban's other foot will probably be behind Lateef where it won't be seen... unless my idea works. But I'll tackle that next time I work on it. Otherwise, all the really hard positioning and anatomical parts are done, the rest should be much more of a breeze! Excitement intensifies!

April 26th, 2020 update:

I'm trying something new where instead of making multiple posts for each progression of a WIP in a single stage (meaning I'll make a new post for when I ink it and such), I just update one until that stage is complete! May not be permanent, just gonna see how that works out.

Well, the last Salmon-tier poll ended in a tie between Lateef and Alban. Soooo.... this is happening. Don't think this is how EVERY poll that ends in a tie will end up! This one just worked together in a way I liked, so don't aim for ties specifically! ^^ But please enjoy this one! =)

Lateef and Alban are my two favorite Spyro elders, and the fact they're both tail-standers is fantastic, because boy do I love a thick, workable tail. And it leads to so many great poses! This one is quite a tricky one, however! Took a lot to get it working, but I believe it's coming along really well! Only issue I see so far is where their rear feet will go, because I want to make them doing something, but they might interfere with each other. But if there's something I've learned across my years of art, it's that I have this way of making really complicated stuff work given enough time.

Looking to continue this one soon!
