My tablet died quite suddenly, and it took about 500 hours worth of artwork that hasn't been backed up with it. That's the bad news.

As for what I'm doing about it, not ALL is lost. Thankfully, several of those WIPs are posted here in some form or another, so I have SOME manner of a usable state for them from which I can resume work! Some of them are sketches that I have not yet begun to outline, so those I can pretty much pick up where I left off. Others are merely a setback, such as ones I'm only in the process of outlining. Unfortunately, some of the more advanced ones such as the Gex/Spyro and Bowser pieces, I lost the bulk of the work. The Gex/Spyro one hit me VERY hard, as it was almost in the finishing stages, and using the flat colors posted here as my continuation point will be a VERY tricky affair without all the necessary layers. Finally, some artwork that hasn't been shown or exported at all are just gone for the time being. Nothing I can do about those other than start over and hope they're as good or better than the originals.

And now the... not so much "good," but "fingers-crossed" news. For one, there is a chance that I will be able to recover the data from my tablet, but I won't know for a little while! It has been sent to a mobile device repair shop, and they are in the process of looking into it. Judging by what the problem is, they've given me about a 50/50 chance that they can get it powering on again, at which point I'll take EVERYTHING off of it IMMEDIATELY! In the meantime, I've already bought a new tablet, and I'll be ready to start drawing again within the next couple days once I've got it all set up!

So unfortunately, I'm sorry to say that the current poll winner of Spyro/Gex is on hold until I can figure out how to move forward with that one due to the current circumstances-- NOT canceled, just on hold. In the meantime, I plan on doing some stop-gap artwork on the new tablet, so expect a new poll soon for the next piece you'd like to see me finish based on some of the most salvageable artwork I've posted here so far!

I DEEPLY apologize for the inconvenience. My failure to regularly back up my artwork is my fault, and it's a lesson learned for the future. And learned HARD it was. That goes for everyone, by the way! BACK UP YOUR WORK AND DO IT NOW! ^^

Thank you all so much for your support and patience! Can't wait to resume drawing for you soon!
